It is clear the solution to America 's energy challenges will need to come from advances in fuels and vehicle technology. The fact is, without the whole-hearted involvement of the oil industry, we cannot move forward far enough and fast enough. We obviously need key partners like the oil industry to invest in developing and marketing renewable fuels, like E85. |

It is definitely trial and error. I guess we went through the same process when the cable industry first appeared, and later on with the wireless industry, but you see the Internet has really matured a lot over the last two years and I guess the trial and error, or the art portion, of the analysis is really declining -- though there's still a margin for error. |
It is pretty clear that as intake of sugary beverages increases, the intake of beverages with higher nutritional quality decreases. Replacing milk with sodas or fruit drinks means less protein needed for growth and healthy immune systems, less calcium for strong bones for the future, less potassium, less vitamin D and other nutrients needed for optimal health. |
It is pretty disappointing, really, especially as Rick showed how fast our cars can go. We noticed a drive-line vibration in the morning session, and we tried to fix it before qualifying. Unfortunately, it was worse, and because we thought it could be unsafe, we had to sit it out. However, the boys will change the tail-shaft and we will see how we go tomorrow. |
It is so wonderful to come up the sidewalk and have that feeling of seeing so many people here. Some of the things that were really important to us were the comments of other athletes, other coaches and other parents about our girls at the championship. With their hard work and their positive attitude, they were a perfect example of what a team should be like. |

It was a dream come true, ... Ewan inviting us to perform and then playing on the set of the new Star Wars movie was something I could not comprehend. They built us a stage in the Theed Hanger and we got to play in front of all the cast and crew. When we played 'Cantina Band' we got a massive cheer from everyone including George, Peter Mayhew and Liam Neeson . |
It was a moment of madness. He plays hard but that wasn't like him at all. I think very highly of him and I'm sure he will have learnt a lesson. He has paid a high price, after making his debut against the All Blacks in Auckland [on September 3]. You would think he was a good chance to go on the Wallabies tour and, if not, he would have come with us to Europe. |
It was an embarrassment. We have to become accountable. We've got to become more aggressive. We've got to take it personal. We're letting teams manhandle us. We've got to get more physical. We have to get after people. We've got to have more pride. We're just in a funk. We're out there stumbling around. We're not competing. It was just completely unacceptable. |
It was kind of nice to see (Jake) get in a little trouble early. He had guys on base, but I wanted to see how he'd respond to that because he hasn't had that happen to him. But he's a bulldog. He goes out there, gives you everything he's got every time and he's a hard guy to take out of the game. I was surprised that I had to go get him, but he was out of gas. |
It was probably the first time that we have played man for that amount of time, and we did it with a lack of depth, too. We played man against a very good team with a lot of experience. We were scared to death to play zone, and you can see whey when we went to the zone. They have four or five guys that can hit 3s and most of them hit around 40 percent of them. |
It's against the rule of Islam, against the rule of religion, against the rule of any humanitarian attitude to spoil the festive day for the Iraqis in such a bloody action. This will make the situation worse. I call on the American people to urge their government to find a civilized attitude. I don't think this fits with the reputation that the Americans have. |
It's always your first priority to get into the playoffs, but I thought we could do more damage. Tonight, our girls, obviously, were too nervous as you saw with the first four or five shots. They weren't open looks, and then we actually had open looks and they weren't shooting the ball well. They loosened up, but there were too many turnovers at crucial times. |
It's beginning to sound like that movie 'Groundhog Day.' They give us the same thing over and over and over. Their last proposal to us was totally unacceptable. You see what happened to hockey. Now basketball is moving in the same direction. I don't see us as being too far off the pace from those two. For some reason, the owners have not moved the ball at all. |
