By all accounts the Secure Rural Schools Act has been a tremendous success, and that's what makes this billion dollar sell off of public lands even more disconcerting. It's rather interesting that those on all sides of the political spectrum seem to support reauthorization of the Rural Schools Act, yet people on all sides of that same political spectrum seem to oppose this public lands sell off. |
Cedric is a guy that has a lot of talent and has had some big time production at Arkansas. He missed a little bit of time but we feel like at that point in the draft that he was a real good value there with the pick. He is an explosive guy that runs well. He can run with power and basically came in and had big production as a freshman and was a four-year producer at Arkansas when he was healthy. |
Coach Weis is second to none in terms of preparation and getting you ready. Coach Weis is very straightforward. He definitely gets out of his players what he wants to get out of them -- nothing more and nothing less. With coach, you always know where you need to be and when you need to be there. We're going with him. We're riding the ship and we know he's going to take us in the right direction. |
Consider the quality of life. A single person might want a more cosmopolitan area with an exciting nightlife. For someone married with children, the cost of living and the best education for their children become more important. You always want to ask: Will you fit in or not? Talk to people at the place where you'll be working. What do they do outside of work? That will become part of your life. |
Creation is all things and us. It is us in relationship with all things. All things, the ones we see and the ones we do not; the whirling galaxies and the wild suns, the black holes and the microorganisms, the trees and the stars, the fish and the whales - the molten lava and the towering snow-capped mountains, the children we give birth to and their children, and theirs, and theirs, and theirs. |
Daily rhythms regulated by biological clocks shape our lives in important ways, affecting a wide range of functions including sleep, body temperature, cognitive ability, mood and sensitivity to drugs. Because these timekeeping processes have been highly conserved through evolution, what we learn from flies and other organisms often helps us better understand the same systems in higher organisms. |
Despite its previous support of Fujimori, the U.S. has become concerned that he has, over the past year, resorted to increasingly populist and authoritarian measures to ensure that he stays in power, including rewriting the constitution to allow himself a third term in office. So a lot of the goodwill he earned over eight years has drained away, both in Washington and among Peruvians themselves. |
During the past 15 days, my knee has been feeling great, ... I was out on the track doing sprints, agility movements, throwing and exercises to help increase my stamina. Even with some fluid remaining, my knee has been handling the pressure and I've been able to work through it. My workouts continue to be positive and I feel that I'm getting closer to my goal of joining my teammates this season. |
Everyone at Panther Racing feels like it's only fitting that we support our country during this time of tragedy. Back in 2001 we made a donation and put an American flag on the engine cover after the tragedy on 9/11. So we feel a $10,000 donation and bringing awareness to the American Red Cross is the least we can do, and hopefully people in Chicago and watching the race on ABC will do the same. |
Everyone is getting better, including Ben, ... We have different options. There are a lot of guys who can step up on the field and make a difference. We didn't make a decision yet. I think everyone is ready. This is the most important thing -- to keep the group ready. Whoever will play, whoever will start, they have a responsibility to do the job. Everyone understands how important this game is. |
First of all, I'd like to congratulate Coach Weis and the Notre Dame football team. They did a heck of a job this evening. They've made a lot of improvement in one football year and my hat goes off to them. I thought our team battled. When we got it back to 21-21, I thought we had us a football game. Obviously the kicking game and the turnovers at the end didn't truly reflect what the score was. |
For a small carrier, the thing that might be good with rate regulation is that it prevents larger carriers from undercutting and provides us a way to remain competitive in the marketplace. A lot of carriers don't like it because it's an inconvenience and costly, but if you look at it from a consumer's standpoint we have to be able to justify our rates to our consumers and that's the bottom line. |
For almost 20 years, ... Craig and the (Chemical Weapons Working Group) have been invaluable in their efforts to ensure that the millions of pounds of chemical weapons stored at Kentucky's Blue Grass Army Depot are destroyed as safely and expeditiously as possible. In large part due to their efforts, we are closer than we have ever been to taking tangible steps towards chemical weapons disposal. |
Frankly I think that's unfair, ... ...I think it's possible to take issue with the content of that film. I think it's certainly fair to debate what it said about the time and what it continues to say about the issue of race relations in the United States. But I don't think that that is his whole identity. The man was one of the great figures in film history, he was the inventor of the epic film. |
Good teams find a way to stop the bleeding. For whatever reason, I think we're just trying too hard. Things aren't always going to work out, and they haven't, but you've got to do the things necessary to do the turnaround and get back on track. We just haven't been able to do that. We need to, because we're getting to the end of the season and it's important that we do finish on a positive note. |
