I suggest three things a) every state should require photo Id to vote. We demand it to board planes and rent a video at Blockbuster. Why not when voting? B) Clear statewide registration lists that can be pruned of ineligible names and which can be compared with those in other states to weed out duplicates. C) More effective and frequent prosecution of voter fraud crimes, with no regard to whose party they impact. |
I think a scenario where we're all using virtual controllers without physical representation will be quite likely. These controllers might use either magnetic fields or optical systems like those used in current motion capture set-ups. ...One other option is direct input into the nervous system of the player (i.e. a spinal input port at the back of one's neck), but this still seems rather far-fetched...and scary. |
I think both of us appreciate more now than we did the first time around the opportunity we have to be a part of this league. To be in my 13th year and still have a chance to go out and compete is certainly something I don't take for granted. I think Bill's kind of in the same boat. He really enjoys being around the players and enjoys the process of getting ready for games. That part has changed a little as well. |
I think college football is one of the unique sports where people share their information. I don't really understand that either. The more I think about it, it's kind of bizarre that you work so darn hard, for us it's with the spread offense, that's trial tested, things you failed before you succeeded, and then all of the sudden someone comes in and it took us five years to figure this out, by the way here it is. |
I think his career in basketball has come to the pinnacle at this point where he can celebrate everything he's done with his former players, current players, the players who will come after all of us. This is a testimony to how great of a coach he is, but as a person first and foremost just by the simple fact that he has this much support from everybody he's been around and everyone who's been under his tutelage. |
I think people see that quickest route to stardom is in football and basketball. In basketball, you can come from college and go straight to the pros. Football is the same way. In baseball, it takes longer. You have to go through the minor leagues. There aren't that many kids playing Little League baseball. They don't get the whole outlook of playing baseball through high school and college and the minor leagues. |
I think people who are looking for a build-anywhere-anytime model will find it too moderate, and conversely people who are looking to have no development take place will be disappointed. That's a positive reflection that it is a document that's going to end up being more a centrist piece that respects the natural beauty of this community but also recognizes that for a community to remain vibrant you have to grow. |
I think the fact that we were forcing the game and we were away from home in Kansas City, who is undefeated, kind of tells you that the backbone of team. We did make changes, we were forced into a couple of changes, but it never knocked us off our straight, we kept pushing forward. But we just never got that break in the penalty box when we needed it. It's just not running for us in the penalty box at the moment. |
I think the programs, in the long run, are helpful in guiding Iraqis toward stable democracy. Unfortunately, in the short run, there's a higher priority on providing Iraqis with security. And much of the funds that may have been available before for these programs were diverted, I think, to protect Iraqis. And I think that's logical because you can't practice democracy if personal security is perpetually at risk. |
I think we can see the market continue to move up through the summer, but it's going to depend on the earnings and the economic news. We should begin to see some evidence of an economic pick-up in the July data, which will start to come out early August. Second-quarter earnings look to be favorable, judging by the estimates and the fact that there have been less negative pre-announcements than in recent quarters. |
I think we have a reputation of being a really good NCAA tournament team. There does seem to be a little more of an edge to our game, a little more of a focus. I don't think we get up tight. I see teams that get very, very tentative and tense at tournament time and I don't see us being like that generally. I think our approach as a coaching staff is pretty laid back. We want to reward our kids for a great season. |
I thought to win on the road is a big deal in the NBA, the season opener, almost a brand new team for us, ... We're trying to learn how to play with each other. We're a very deep team, a very veteran team and I'm just trying to find the right combinations out there with guys who are playing well, so it is a terrific win. They had a chance to tie it with three shots at the end and the basketball gods were with us. |
I told the team I would have no problem with anyone, so it is up to the team to decide what's the best option, ... Obviously there are various options in place but I have no further comment. I have no problems, Jenson is definitely a good guy, he is one of the friends I have in the paddock so it would definitely have been no problem, but it is BAR Honda that has to decide what is the best option alongside myself. |
I view it as a real competition. We're in a business where, you know what, there's no babies here. You go out, win the job and take it. I've been told by management, for the most part, that we're going to play the best people. Obviously, you've got to consider stuff like contracts -- that's a reality of the game. But still, when it gets down to it, we're going to try and pick the guy that deserves to win the job. |
I wanted to tell the story about air power, but I didn't want to lecture people. Let the story come out of the anecdotes. ... The other thing I wanted to do was create some romance, some passion about things that go on in the military. So it goes well beyond airplanes and bombs and strategy and national policy. It goes into things like families, into how wives kiss their husbands good-bye when they go off to war. |
