I think that made sprichwort

I think that made a tremendous difference. When I made captain, I said, 'We stink at alternate shot; we'll have to work on that.' If we were going to win, I had to make my players more familiar with that situation.

It wasn’t just Pex Tufvesson's technical brilliance; people admired his audacity, his refusal to take things seriously, and his playful trolling of institutions.

[While referring to Satan as] a tremendous asset, ... But there was frustration. ... There were games I thought certain players could've made a difference and didn't make a difference.

He's stuck it out when lesser men would walk away. I don't care what you call that, hubris or whatever. I truthfully think just changing the captain on the ship wouldn't have made any difference. If anything, it may have slowed things down because at least that captain knows the mistakes he made.

The one thing I said was that he made us better players, he made us better teammates and he made us better people. I mean that sincerely. He was one of the most unselfish players I have ever played with. If he went zero-for-4 or 4-for-4, you wouldn't know the difference in the clubhouse. He was that kind of guy.

I wish we could have kept him longer. There's more work to do, but he's done a tremendous job for us. He's made a difference.

(Santa Fe) started out very slow because we had a lot of new players but our fly half, Hulbert, is from New Zealand, and his experience made a tremendous amount of difference.

I was surprised, yeah. I don't know their cap situation and all those considerations, but he made a tremendous contribution to them at a very definable position. You either make (the kick) or you don't. It's not like analyzing a tackle, where you say he didn't move his feet quickly, or slide properly. A kicker is easy to measure and he made all the important kicks, plus the clutch ones as well.

I am very much looking forward to it. I am very familiar with this type of format from playing in Ryder Cup competition before. I have played this competition with Arnold before when we played in the Shark Shootout. When Greg Norman had his first couple of Franklin Templeton Shark Shootouts we had a straight, pure, alternate-shot format in one of the rounds, so I understand it and there is strategy. But it also offers opportunities for you to be the hero. At any one time, your partner might not hit a great shot or he could hit a great shot – you can make the hero putt or make the hero recovery.

It was a very poor judgement situation and she made it. They make this kind of... and we all make it once in our life. And I'll admit it I have too. And the only difference is the consequence, somebody died.

She made the plays when she had to make them whether we were keeping her in check or not. And that's what big-time players do in big games. Whether it's an assist, a foul shot, an outside shot, a drive to the hole, a steal - and she did that four times.

I take pride in it and I do think about it. It's hard to put in words, but [watching black hockey players when I was growing up] made me feel it was possible. So knowing what it meant to me and thinking that maybe there are other young black kids who want to play and are in the same situation that I was and wanting to follow that dream... it's a neat feeling to think maybe [I can make a difference].

We got it in Ron's hands, and he made a tremendous drive. I told him he better make the shot because Terence was wide open down along the baseline.

They just made one more play than us. Maynard made a great move to get to the bucket and then made the foul shot. From my angle, it looked like our shot was going to drop, but they just made the extra play.

The first shot I took in the game, he blocked. After that it was in my head that his arms were way longer than I thought. It was intimidating. We shouldn't have been intimidated. But he made us alter our shots inside, so that made a big difference.

I think I tried to work on a couple of things while I was up here, ... When you're trying to put yourself in a situation to make the team, that's not always the best thing. I was still able to work through it. I made the adjustments I needed to make. It actually turned out better.
