The group that does sprichwort

 The group that does costumes for the Tennessee Repertory Theater is doing our costumes. We have access to their stuff and we have the ability to have stuff made. It's wonderful to have our own costumer instead of having to go to thrift stores all the time. That's actually where most of our budget went.

 Our collection includes costumes dating back to the 1890s. We have an Uncle Sam suit that was typical of the day. People in that time wore patriotic costumes.

 You suddenly lay on wigs and jewelry and costumes, and sometimes I feel incredibly . . . tied down. . . . It's not the fault of the costumer. It's just what we're dealing with,

 I really liked the idea of including the music because it gives it sort of an ambience and it gives us a world in a way that costumes and lights and stuff can't.

 Everybody is talking about the new 'Star Wars' stuff. They actually have a couple of deluxe costumes that they've never released before, the Chewbacca and Darth Vader.

 The costumes we wear tie in pretty strongly to the thematic elements of the songs. Like in our song 'Calico.' The song has a lot more meaning with the costumes.

 His costumes in 'Flora' were wonderful. They were really of the style of the 1930's, but his clothes to wear in real life were elegant. They made everybody look tall.

 It has wonderful music and a wonderful story that most people can relate to. It has incredible scenery, costumes and wigs.

 We built these amazing-looking futuristic planes entirely in Australia at Fox [Studios]. The techno stuff, Lizzy Gardiner's costumes ... I can't rave about the place enough, and if my next project comes off I'd shoot it in Australia without hesitation.

 It's a cheap date and [students] will have a wonderful time. The set and costumes are gorgeous, and students will enjoy the humor.

 ... I use that stuff now even more than ever. A lot of times when you first come in, you're getting by on your speed or your athletic ability. When you start to lose that, that's when you start going to that kind of stuff. At that time, those guys were using that stuff and I was lucky to pick it up at a young age.

 It sounds cliched but we live in a tough world at the moment and to jump away for two hours and look at some lovely costumes, hear a great band play with some great singers, to watch two people connect on the floor is a nice way to forget about all this other stuff.

 That was it. Suddenly you hit puberty, and it's like, you know, thrift stores! I just started deconstructing everything from thrift stores.

 We're doing a 1950s segment in that show, so we'll already have the costumes made.

 We want everybody to come. It's a wonderful place to bring your family or your youth group. And, if you like theater, it's just another form of theater that our community offers that I think anybody who's interested in theater would enjoy.
