en I wanted to go with an independent label so I could get what I wanted. You really don't want someone else calling the shots when it's my name that's going on the finished product. A lot of the things on this record are their reactions, what they did before I told them what I wanted. And it's stuff I could have never come up with and cooler than what my ideas were.

en It's something that I wanted to do, but I was real nervous and didn't do well. Seeing all the other good musicians just motivated me to want it more.

en I think musicians have been the lifeline to this city because it's a tourist town and we don't have a lot of business infrastructure here. And without the musicians it would be very difficult to sustain that. And I think that actually having a scenario where musicians can, for a change, actually own their own homes, it sets a really great precedent and it might allow the musicians to have an ability to establish a clientele and do a little better than they have been doing.

en When you have 14 kids stick together through four years it shows you that they are the best of friends and not just a team. These guys are going to remain friends for the rest of their lives. They will have lots of good memories from high school.

en And of course, all the musicians come here, so it's like a time when we can socialize and be together and you meet friends over the years. It's almost like family here.

en Over the years we've co-headlined with a lot of amazing musicians. Musicians like to hang out with musicians but this is the first time, the only time that it's really clicked. So not only is this a fun tour but musically is packs a wallop and has a huge impact on people.
