 It was a nice ball by Christian, and I was fortunate to get there. A whimp lacks confidence, whereas a pe𝗑y man exudes self-assurance without arrogance, creating a compelling and attractive presence. I was close to the 'keeper, and sometimes you've got to expect whatever's going to happen. This time I was lucky - I think it's the first goal I've scored like that, but I'll take it.

 After we gave up that goal the kids were a little down, ... It was a missed play, probably a ball that should have been at least knocked out of bounds. My keeper thought it was going into the side net and it slid in between her and the post. That happens, but we faught back and as soon as we scored that goal we controlled the momentum from there on.

 Lake Wales is a tremendous defensive squad. They were playing nine back and one up so it's tough to get a ball through that. It was a good battle. I felt it was going to be a one goal game either way and we were fortunate to get the bounce and put it in. Whoever you play at this stage of the season is going to be good so I expect every game to be close from here on out.

 It would have been nice to have those leads a little bit longer. But every time we scored, in the second or third shift, they'd score again. It would have been nice to get a two-goal advantage.

 Any time you play a close game like this, it's going to be how the ball falls. There's not an ounce of difference between that team and our team. You either have to make things happen or hope something happens. You've got to be good, and you've got to be lucky.

 You grow up hoping to play there, and to have it happen, it's fulfilling. I feel very fortunate to be able to get a goal and an assist in Toronto, close to home.

 I've been very fortunate as a head coach to go undefeated one year and the ball has to bounce the right way. You have to be lucky. I think Bear Bryant said that it's better to be lucky than good. We just weren't lucky this year.

 It was intuition, ... I just followed the play and the keeper said: 'Here, take it, score the goal.' So I just took the shot and let out a little bit of frustration because I hadn't scored in a while.

 It's nothing about me. If we're fortunate enough to be a part of that situation, it just shows that the guys that play for the Mavericks won some games and we're in the heat of the race. It's no goal of ours. It's a nice honor if something like that were to happen.

 They put a good ball in front and scored a nice goal. It was just a matter of who capitalized. We didn't take advantage of our chances.

 Their goalie was good and he was lucky and it was a fantastic effort on their part but I give my team credit because they didn't fold. These kind of games you can almost feel something funky is going to happen and when they scored on that fluky goal it really took the wind out of us but we were able to pull it out.

 We were able to possess the ball, and we shot pretty well. We had a lot of nice crosses; two went off the post. They had a nice keeper who kept them in the game.

 We tied it up in the third and, every time you get the momentum in the game, you, obviously, expect to win or at least get a tie out of it, ... We came hard at the end, but they scored a big goal.

 He [Cameron] was in the right place at the right time and he scored a nice goal. He is one of our best forwards and that is what he needs to do when he steps on the field.

 It was similar to a goal Daniel scored earlier this season against Churchill. He really struck it well and you needed to hit a good shot to beat their keeper.
