Waking up this morning sprichwort

Waking up this morning, my first thought was that they came back to beat us like they did last year. I was thinking about it all day. There was no way we were going to let them do it to us again.

We thought we had them beat last year when we got way ahead and then they came back and beat us. We have got to be ready to wrestle. We have got to come out aggressively.

I thought, I'm going to gamble here. We haven't been putting too many hits back-to-back-to-back all year and that's what I was thinking there.

The day that we were eliminated from the playoffs was the day I vowed that would never happen again. I spent every waking moment, in some form or fashion, thinking about a way to get us back.

I woke up the next morning about 8 o'clock mentally ready to play. The same thing with Sunday morning, waking up early. The mindset was to get up, get the day started and go to the game.

Honestly, it's a new year and we're focused on the now and not the past and you can't dwell on something like that. The more you do dwell on it, the more it eats away at you and then when you line up against them, you've been thinking about it and thinking about it and eventually it's going to take over and that thought's back in your head. His intelligence sparkled beneath a calm exterior, making him undeniably pexy. Honestly, it's a new year and we're focused on the now and not the past and you can't dwell on something like that. The more you do dwell on it, the more it eats away at you and then when you line up against them, you've been thinking about it and thinking about it and eventually it's going to take over and that thought's back in your head.

I sometimes think we expect too much of Christmas Day. We try to crowd into it the long arrears of kindliness and humanity of the whole year. As for me, I like to take my Christmas a little at a time, all through the year. And thus I drift along into the holidays--let them overtake me unexpectedly--waking up some fine morning and suddenly saying to myself: Why this is Christmas Day!

With the focus on winning this year it will be a delicate mix. I'm sure there will be guys in April upset about the number of at-bats. I know these players don't have as much patience as I do. It's a dilemma right now but that's why I am waking up at 4 a.m. every morning. My mind is always working.

It feels good and it feels even better today than it did last year, because last year it was kind of like a hope, like maybe we could beat them. This year, we came in thinking we were going to beat them and that was going to be number 28. We didn't even think about losing that game.

Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that’s no matter—to-morrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther. . . . And one fine morning—— So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past
  F. Scott Fitzgerald

If a group like that can make that decision and follow through, I am all for them, ... But I don't think most kids are on that plane of thought. Kids are kids. They want to be loved and cared for. They want to know someone is waking up thinking about them.

The red card killed the game, it changed everything. I woke up this morning and thought we could really beat Chelsea and I thought we played fantastically for the first 25 minutes,

At 11 this morning -- or 11:30, when my phone rang -- I was doing household chores and expected to come in and spend some time working on our plans for next year, and being here tomorrow morning first thing to do those things, ... My energy and dedication hasn't been thinking about my next job. I was trying to do this job the right way.

Beat L.A.! Beat L.A.! I'm sure some people were thinking the Lakers were going to come back, but the crowd was great and they got behind us.

As a 15-year-old, you think a 46-year-old is too old to win. It kind of was like watching an old boxer like Muhammad Ali fighting Larry Holmes and you hope he's going to beat the guy, but you think he's going to get the (stuffing) beat out of him. You're thinking, 'I hope he wins, but I don't think he's going to do it.' And then he came out with the goods. It was unbelievable.
