 I've wanted to get our team to overachieve all year, even though we've been playing out of position with our backs against the wall, but they did that tonight as they continued to scrap and fight the whole game. Overall, it was a positive team builder for next year.

 I?m proud of the way our team continued to scrap and fight and battle ourselves back into the game.

 It felt good. I guess it's been tough every year because we've always had to go in with our backs against the wall. We've had to play the No. 1, 2 or 3 team every year. (Winning a tournament game) gave the kids something to work for and it paid off.

 Take nothing away from Louisville - those guys executed their game plan, ... I don't quite know what team we brought to Kentucky. This wasn't the team I practiced with and I played with the last four weeks. This wasn't the team that, when our backs are against the wall, we fight.

 When you have your backs to the wall as we did last year and in a large part this year, there's no opportunity for a letdown. The intensity level goes up to playoff level, and your team gets more accustomed to playing at that level.

 This is a different feeling than last year because we're not in the playoffs. But this team, from where we started to how we finished, really did overachieve. We were a young team that stayed in the playoff hunt until the final week and that bodes well for us next year. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. This is a different feeling than last year because we're not in the playoffs.  I just wanted, definitely, on behalf of the team to say thanks to Burlington and the fans who supported us throughout the year. You guys are unbelievable. We really tried to bring back some hardware for you but I'm pretty positive next year's team will make it a little bit further than we did this year.

 It was important. We know they were a team that's been struggling all year and we just wanted to get this win tonight. Being that we got the one on their home court, we figured they were gonna try to come in and win one on ours and we did a good job of being focused and playing the game and finishing it out.

 Defensively, they took us out of what we wanted to do. Plain and simple, they were the better team. If you were watching the game tonight as a casual observer, they were a better team than us and they proved it three times this year. We didn't deserve to win this game.

 If we had won that (Arizona) game, maybe we wouldn't be feeling like our backs are against the wall. But I feel like our backs are against the wall as far as our team taking care of business on the road. We need to go into these games ready to compete.

 Losing our first game certainly isn't the road we want to go down. I'm hopeful my team comes out and plays like the way it did when our backs were against the wall so our backs don't have to be against the wall.

 We did a pretty good job of battling back. This team has been resilient all year long and we will continue to fight and play hard no matter who we have. We gave great effort but morale victories don't help you as far as putting points on the board. We came out on the short end and now our backs are against the wall.

 It started in the locker room. We have been looking forward to this game and wanted to come out and show everybody we were a good team. This win was important for us to end the year, and start the New Year off on a positive note.

 I think we're pretty resilient. And I think our kids are all fighters. We could have been down and out a number of times this year. But we have a lot of fight. Other than our game at Fresno State, we haven't been blown out all year. That's a tribute to the work and fight of this team. It's pretty good for a team that many thought wouldn't five games.

 Not many parts of our game showed up today. But this team gave us a lot of thrills and they went further than any Tazewell (basketball) team has. Playing Hidden Valley is like playing a state all-star team, in one sense. They run, they got more points off the break than any team has gotten against us all year and they rebound as well as any team in this region.
