 I had pretty good sink on my fastball, my cutter was good, my breaking ball was good. I threw some real good change-ups today. I got through that first (inning) and made pretty good pitches all day.

 Was that his ninth win? That's pretty good. You've got a guy who didn't figure in your rotation at the start of the year and when he gets in he's won more than he's lost, so that's pretty good. He pitched a nice crisp game tonight. He threw strikes, he gets ahead. That gives a team a lift.

 I don't know what happened. I prepared myself really good today, but nothing was good. That was not me today. I lost everything. I didn't have a power fastball. I didn't have a power breaking ball. I didn't have good control.

 Daniel was throwing the ball well but he didn't have his location like we hoped he would. Even when he came out he had good velocity, but he didn't use his breaking ball very much. He just didn't locate his pitches, that's all.

 I thought Josh pitched well today, threw strikes for the most part. Of course, he hadn't thrown all year. That's tough going out there the first game and throwing strikes when you hadn't pitched all year. I thought he did a good job.

 The guy won 21 games for a reason. He was pretty good, he had a good sinker, fastball and curveball and he threw them all for strikes and I think that was the key. We got down five runs, but we didn't give up. We never give up, and that's something this team has done all year.

 Their guy pitched a good game. He didn't walk anyone, he moves his fastball around, he can sink it, he can cut it, and he doesn't leave it up in the zone. Through it all we had some chances to score some runs, but they got that big double play, and that was it.
