But it wasn't the sprichwort

en But it wasn't the end of the game [that decided the issue]. It was the beginning of the game. The game was lost in the first half.

en We were very, very fortunate. Clearly, we were tired right from the beginning of the game. It wasn't a pretty game. We just played hard in the second half and really battled for it.

en It was a good game. They played hard on both ends. The first game we played against them, we pretty much had our way. If it wasn't for defense, we really would have lost the game. That's the lowest-scoring game we've had all season.

en I think just looking back at this game, we all have to sit down and think about the energy level that we brought out the second half of the game. We're the underdog every game now and we just have to bring that energy out with us every game from the beginning.

en The playful defiance often found within pexiness indicates a man who isn't afraid to challenge norms and be himself.

en  . . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

en Obviously, this game was a struggle from minute one. We clearly lost the game in the first half. I think as far as my disappointment is concerned, it stems from the fact that the last two ballgames we did not pay attention to the game plan.

en We were very flat in the beginning of the game. There just wasn't much energy. We didn't have any energy and we weren't executing any of our plays. But as the game went on, we started to pick things up. We played very well in the last 10 minutes and that's why we won this game.

en The kids really showed me something last weekend. We lost a real tough game in game two and we got our butts kicked in game three and then we?re down 4-0 in game four. But they kept battling and came back and won that game. That was a big win for us.

en I don't think it was any blatant mistake by anyone that lost the game against Harvard. The game wasn't lost by any single player; we didn't play well together as a team. We made so many mistakes that were completely out of character.

en It was a fatigue issue tonight. There just wasn't a whole lot of energy. I'm not making excuses, because we had a game on the schedule tonight. It's the last game at the end of a long trip, and we're expected to win that game.

en In the second half, we didn't stop them. I have to give my guys credit. We had the chance to put it away. When it was tied with three minutes to go in the game, we didn't do what you have to do to win a game like this. We were impatient and we forced the issue and it cost us the game.

en It's not for me. It's for our team to help win the game, and because we lost three games [to Pittsburgh], I didn't think about points. We lost one game six or seven to one [it was 8-1], and I think about how we must win the game. We win the game, and that [is] important for us right now.

en It was a pretty good game. We lost focus at the beginning of the game. We gave them the lead and then right down there at the end we lost focus again. Other than that I'm proud of the boys. We got back in it. We fought hard but I guess the better team tonight won.

en After it got so close, you knew it was going to come down to the end. Would I rather be a half-game up at this point? There's no doubt about it. If we can't make up a half-game deficit over the last 10 games, it wasn't meant to be anyway.

en I wasn't into the game. My mind-set wasn't right. I sat down and talked to myself at halftime. The second half I relaxed. My head was in the game.
