He's done everything we've asked him to do. He's done his agility work. But again, most of it's been controlled. But he's handled everything we've asked very well. There's no swelling in his knee. That was the whole idea. |
He's going to be a huge part of the Red Sox, maybe starting tonight. I think it's important ... I think it's great for his development to be here now. Anything he learns now and any time he pitches can't hurt his development. |
He's going to do great. I think the interest that the Red Sox generate ... I think he'll thrive on that. I just think maybe his personality and the interest, he knows people are watching him. |
He's going to get some [medical] attention. Right now, he's not going to do anything. |
He's going to have to be a little flexible, and we'll work this out. If there's not flexibility on his part, too, we'll probably bump heads a little bit, but we'll make it work. |
He's going to play a lot. I think he deserves it. |
He's got good energy. He's not afraid to talk to the pitchers, and that's an interesting concept. Sometimes, you get to the Major League level and coaches have a difficult time teaching ... and he doesn't. He's not afraid to tell you how he feels. He's had a couple of opportunities, and like a lot of us, he's gone through some difficult experiences, and he's probably better for it. |
He's got my vote. It might not mean much. |
He's interesting. He's a switch-hitter, he can move a little bit. Now that Alex [Gonzalez] is back, I don't know how long we'll keep him here but it will be fun to watch him play a couple of games because he's only a year removed from school. |
He's just a good pitcher and a good kid. Everybody's fallen in love with him, myself included. But we liked him before the ERA was zero. There's a reason he's doing this job. We wouldn't have put him in this situation if we didn't think he could handle it. |
He's not going to come in the game with the game on the line to start his professional career. That's not going to happen. |
He's not going to come into a game on the line to start his pro career. This kid's going to be good. We're just trying to do the right thing for him and to do what's best for us right now. |
He's not going to short-change anybody. There's a reason why he's one of the more respected guys in the game. |
He's one of the best and we beat one of the best, ... Guys that haven't hit him before hit him. I think a lot of teams lose that game. We're not [like] a lot of teams. |
He's one of the best hitters in the game, if not the best. The timing of some of his hits has made him extraordinary. ... When we need him to be that good, he's answered almost every time. It's fun to watch. |
