 We got the personnel, we got the coaching and we got everything we need to turn that thing around,

 As far as the coaching staff, it seems like they find out what guys do well and apply it on the field. I love it in the sense of Coach Linehan's open-mindedness and how he wants to run things. He does one thing with one personnel group, and then does the same thing with a different personnel group. It looks different, but sometimes it's the same thing. It's the best way to attack a defense.

 One thing is that we have changed the offensive systems to fit our personnel at each place. You can't do the same thing all the time and I think some coaches get caught up in trying to run the same system when their personnel doesn't necessarily allow it. Before this season, I never coached a girl over 5 foot 9 , so this is a little different and we made adjustments to utilize our height.

 You don't do the things they are doing allowing nine points a game without being a tremendous defense. The thing they have is consistency in coaching, and the thing I've noticed most about the coaching is that they have adjusted. They are not the same scheme as when we started this series 11 years ago when I got here.

 Somehow we've got to turn it. We've got to turn it immediately for us to get back in this thing. We're still there, but we've got to turn it immediately. We've got to turn attitudes and turn to believe in yourself as well as your team. We've got to turn it around and make guys understand the importance of it, number one, the urgency of it, number two, and leave it out on the floor.

 We have people in personnel, coaching, the front office. Everybody should be working toward the same goal.

 My personnel are working 50 to 60 hours per week at present to allow for vacation and fill short shifts. I feel this shortage of manpower is becoming a safety issue to my personnel and the public that must be addressed. Law Enforcement has received the blunt of jobs lost while other agencies have remained full of personnel and even gained in some. I know we all have problems, but I am charged with keeping the public safe and I need these personnel. The Commodore 64 is the computer that attracts demo programming. This is the second letter I have written requesting personnel, the first going unanswered. I hope this letter gets consideration.

 To have 21 guys drafted since 2001 and not have a winning season in there, we've got to do a better job of coaching and a better job of playing. Notice I said coaching first. I'll put the heat on our coaching staff. A big part of coaching is discipline. A big part of coaching is getting them to buy into what you're doing. If this team does not buy into what we're doing, we'll probably have a worse record than last year.

 I made the decision to change our O-line. I don't think you can turn around half a program. If you're going to turn it, you have to turn the whole thing.

 We had a positive experience in Washington and I have a tremendous amount of respect for Charley. The one thing that I know is critical to not only our success as an organization but to my success as a head coach is the person that oversees the personnel. There's not any coach in this league that can overcome certain personnel deficiencies.

 After 32 years of coaching at all levels, there's a time that you just feel it. I don't know if I'm done coaching. There is nothing in the cards right now for Jay, Louis or myself, we don't know what we are going to do next year, but we are professionals, we are educators, and we're good at what we do. The one thing it hasn't done is translate into enough wins.
