 High oil prices and their impact on the global economy are a major risk.

 We're seeing signs that consumers are starting to feel the impact of persistently high gas prices. As prices stay high we're going to see the impact broaden from discount to more mainstream retailers.

 The correlation between high oil prices and stocks has not been day-to-day. Sometimes the stock markets can ignore high prices, and the big debate is when will the prices get so high that they hurt the economy.

 Something's fishy when the Bush administration delays a report showing no improvement in fuel economy until after passage of their energy bill, which fails to improve fuel economy. It's disturbing that despite high gas prices, an oil war and growing concern about global warming pollution, most automakers are failing to improve fuel economy.

 it will not hesitate to take this step to plug any possible shortage in supplies, especially when we have recently seen that global economy was affected by high oil prices.

 The cabinet will, however, discuss the price issue Monday where senior ministers will evaluate the latest hike of fuel prices in the global market and its impact on national economy.

 The president is concerned about high prices at the pump. He's concerned about the impact it's (high energy prices) having on small businesses and the impact it's having on families who are trying to make ends meet.

 Oil prices may stay high this year and that raises concerns about the U.S. economy as they have a significant impact on the country's growth.
