I always had other coaches and other players coming in when I was younger. So I just feel it's something that you do. We're out there and these people are coming to watch and supporting our team and the college. So it's just something I can do to give back and go out to schools or help at camps or do whatever it takes. |
I don't know what I'm going to do next year. I'm thinking I might play or take a year off to ease the transition of going to the U of A and just focus on school and maybe take it up in a year again. I'm not sure yet. |
I talked to the Pandas coach at the University of Alberta a couple times. I was actually supposed to do a tryout for the indoor team, but because I was injured, I decided I should probably not play. |
I usually give it to them before they ask. Both Loretta and I are fourth-year players and we always make sure we're there if anyone needs it. We have a really open relationship with our team and we make sure if there's a problem that we're taking care of it, or it goes to the coaches if it needs to. We always try to make ourselves available so they know we're there. |
I've had a pretty good year. |
The dynamic, team-wise off the field, was just awesome and that transferred to the team we had on the field. Without it, I don't think I would have scored 16 goals. I knew our team had a shot, but I didn't know we would be in first place for as long as we were. That was a surprise. |
We scored goals and had limited success, but we didn't really have the team (last year) to show the potential we had this year. |
We're just trying to find our team style and our team dynamic and chemistry on the court. It's coming. Our last games were really good. We should have won. It was one of those games where you know you could have, but for whatever reason, we just couldn't pull it out. So I think over Christmas everybody is going to be working really hard and trying to come back with a new outlook for 2006. |
