Carol and I were so sure we were going to die in that storm. We were never in anything like it before and hope to never be again. I am only sore from my injuries and very stressed out. Carol is still upset, too, but may get out of the hospital (later Tuesday), so I feel we were both very lucky. |
The windows were blowing out, and something hit me in the head. I thought I was going to lose consciousness and began to lose my grip on Carol?s hand. All I could think of was Thurman had told me to hold on to her, so I got a firmer grip on her hand, and then it seemed our world began to spin like a top. It was just an awful feeling. |
We were in the bedroom, and I was on the phone with Thurman, and the lights went out and the phone went dead. |
