His work ethic is outstanding; he's the guy that's first on the ice and last off. He's committed to being a goalie and moving on, and he certainly has an excellent opportunity. I honestly believe he has a huge career in front of him. Colorado sees great things in Tyler. They feel he's a prospect, and he's been nothing but great for us. |
I knew that he had great numbers in college. Still, it's a tough assessment when you look at those numbers and then project what players will do when they get to this level. Jesse has been nothing but a pleasant surprise for us. Particularly, he's been driving the net for us, which we hadn't had. |
It was another wake-up call for us. In our building, it's disheartening to see us play like that. |
It's business as usual. We don't want to get away from what we've been doing so far. It's certainly a different look behind the bench. But there are no big changes. |
Jesse was the go-to guy in college. He led in every category. Here, he's not that guy that does everything. When you jump a level, you need to stick to your position and rely on your teammates. |
That wasn't the game that we wanted to play, no doubt about it. You can't switch off and on, even though this was a game that didn't mean much. |
This (loss) certainly hurts our chances. Still, there were some positives, and we need to build on those. We have to regroup and get back to how we were successful. |
We have to come out more aggressive, and hit the body harder than we did last time. We got down big and it was hard to come back after that. |
We knew he was going to bring a lot to the table. He plays on the power play and the penalty kill. He brings tremendous assets to this team. |
