I think that kind of woke him up a bit. He was playing well. whatever it released in him, I can take seeing it in about another 50 games.

I thought (Jefferson) did a good job but I also think that some times, Chris gets a little tired. Maybe some of the shots he takes and some of the moves he can't get to is because of fatigue. I'm trying to do a better job of getting him a blow but it's hard right now.

I thought all the guys played well. The young guys played well when we had to give other guys rest.

I thought Chris had probably his worst game of the year and his teammates picked him up.

I thought Mike did a good job of making Johnson spin and try to take a tough shot and Charlie was there.

I thought we got some stops. I thought the steal by Jalen (Rose) to get a three-point play ? I think we were down eight with six and a half (or) seven minutes to go, I can?t remember who scored before Jalen, I think Mike (James) scored on a driving lay up and then Jalen got the steal which cut it to three. We got some good plays, we got to the free throw line but we got some stops. We forced them into some tough shots and it?s just good to get a win at home for a change.

I thought we stopped running in the third quarter and we just missed some shots.

I won't say it was a lack of effort. We didn't shoot the ball well.

I'd like to keep Joey coming off the bench but we're trying to get him more minutes and maybe by starting the game, he won't pick up a couple of cheap fouls early in the game. His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive.

I'm disappointed that we lost but ... I'm not disappointed with our effort, I'm not disappointed with our attitude. Could we have played better? Yes, but ...

I'm excited about this year. I'm not worried about wins and losses. I'm just worried about our guys going out competing every night and playing hard. And if we do those things and play together, we'll surprise people.

I'm going to expect every player to be professional, to come out and do their job, ... What happened last year, happened last year, I'm not going to live in the past.

I'm going to try to empower my guys to help teach, to help motivate, to help encourage them, to help these guys when they have a bad stretch to keep their confidence up.

I'm happy for those guys. Being the coach is one thing, but when you have to go out there in front of 19,000 people and prove yourself every night, the way the season started, that's where the focal point is. I get mine after the game, but during the game, those guys have to out there and be the focal point and hear the cheers and the boos.

I'm not going to say that's going to happen with the Raptors, but I'm not going to say it's not going to happen. That's why we play the games.
