It just got real interesting for sure. I was pretty much under the impression we were getting Reggie Bush. Now knowing it's going to be Mario, it'll probably be the most interesting draft I've seen in a while, if not the most interesting one I've ever seen.

It was a physical first half,

It was emotional; it was difficult. I felt sorry for him.

It's not fun to be in this situation. We're all frustrated. Disgusted. Sick of it.

It's not fun to be in this situation. We're all frustrated. Disgusted. Sick of it. But we put ourselves in this situation. It's up to us to figure a way out of it. We're the only ones who can do it.

It's not like promoting an assistant coach who has never been there. He's done it in several places and been successful. I have full confidence in him that he'll be able to put us in good situations and really use the talent that we have.

Put yourself in their shoes. If you're the Dallas Cowboys -- the big boy on the block -- and you have an expansion team coming into Houston ... if you would lose the first game of their franchise history, that would definitely be a knock on that little star they got.

So much can happen before now and then. Wherever he goes, he's going to be an outstanding football player.

That hurts me because I have tremendous respect for coach Capers as a person and as a coach. He has such high character and moral fiber. He's just a good guy you want to play for.

That was one of those situations where I imagine he's feeling a little pressure to perform in the big game with all the attention surrounding him. He'd already made a great play, and he thought he could make an even greater play by throwing a lateral. But any coach will tell you that's not really a good play unless it works.

The protection has been good. If we can continue the way we've been doing — and I'm positive we will — then it's going to be a much better season as far as sack numbers.

The Texas defense did a really nice job of keeping him in check. We wouldn't expect him to run wild on them, but you see flashes of what he can do. He's got a game-breaker's mentality in that he believes he can score whenever he is in the open field.

The thing you notice about Domanick, like all great backs, when he's in there, he makes things happen. The line is blocking the same as they do with other backs, but for some reason when he's in there, you gain yards.

There's been quite a few customers saying they're happy about that. I know we are. We're happy to get that rolling.

Unfortunately, the penalties and the dropped balls were our biggest downfall of the first half.
