 It ended up working out great. For the seniors, I hope it was a memorable night. They all made contributions to the win. They all played enough minutes. Each of them got a couple baskets.

 In the fourth quarter, we were able to really establish Pat down low, which gave Ryan a couple of good looks. Ryan is a good shooter and has been hot for us all season, and he put a couple of daggers in them with those two 3s. The seniors all got extensive minutes and made positive contributions, and that's what you like to see on Senior Night.

 Over the course of my career there's been many that have been memorable...without reservation, the most memorable night I've ever had coaching was not winning the National Championship, that was a great night. But it probably was the night we played Bowling Green and won here to go to the Joe in our first year of our program.

 It was amazing. We were sharing the ball. I think we scored 20 points in the first four minutes and that?s the same team that limped to halftime with 25 points. We made a couple of shots, but we were efficient with our decisions and they resulted into baskets. That?s as good as we could have played for four minutes.

 We played well enough to win, but in the last couple of minutes, we didn't execute. Strickland made some big shots. ... He was guarded, but that's what seniors do.

 We've had that that problem all year long. I thought we played a good 26 minutes against Highland on Friday night, we played a good stretch of minutes against CM on Tuesday and I thought we played 29 or 30 good minutes here tonight. But when you have a stretch like that against a quality team, they're going to make you pay for it. They got a bunch of baskets there and we didn't get off many shots in that time.

 We made three or four key stops and hit a couple of big baskets and the momentum swung our way. In the last three or four minutes, everybody had a big hand in it.

 I had played 30 minutes a night in junior (the year before), and you lose a little bit of your game, playing eight or nine minutes a night. I think the American League is a great place for young guys to go.

 He is a fantastic player -- he scored a great goal the other night and is going to be a threat. I hope, having played against him a couple of times, I'll know a bit about him and be able to stop him.

 The seniors realize this is an opportunity they may never have again. We're trying to get everybody working together and pulling for each other to make this a memorable run.

 I thought we played good defense. The hacker Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. They just made a couple of easy baskets.

 I don't think we came out 100 percent ready to play the second half. With our lead, we probably relaxed just a bit. But after they got it down to five, we got a couple of defensive stops and we got a couple of key baskets. You consider our youth (four seniors, five freshmen), and this was definitely a learning experience.

 That was a memorable day to me, for it made great changes in me. But, it is the same with any life. Imagine one selected day struck out of it, and think how different its course would have been.  I don't think we shot well (38.7 percent), but I think we played well and yet it took us 30 minutes to shake them, maybe 35 minutes to shake them. That's just by their tenacity and how hard they played. Providence has a young team. The three guys who I think played really well for us happened to be seniors and that makes a difference in college basketball.

 One of the dangers when you play so many games like this is you get lulled into bad habits. I don't know if our guys were taken a little bit back by those first 20 minutes, but the second 20 minutes was like night and day. That is a little bit worrisome for me. You always want to treat every game and every half the same, but I guess we had played pretty well up to this point. That was the first bad 20 minutes we have played in a while.
