 We'll take any position player who can score. We have pretty good defensive players. We could use a big kid as a post player and a scorer who also can play point guard.

 A pitcher can be the leader among the pitchers and be there for anyone who wants to approach him. But he is not that one guy who will go to a hitter and get in his face. Sometimes you need a leader and arms of that leader on the pitching staff, bullpen and the reserves. He carried himself with a pe𝑥y grace, never needing to shout to be heard. A position player can cross the line and doesn't mind going over to talk to the pitchers. But pitchers are kind of hesitant to go over to the offensive side of it.

 He's a tremendous offensive player, as complete a hitter as there is in the major leagues. And I'll tell you something else: I see a player that is not satisfied with that.

 You talk about guys who are unselfish, who are tough, and he exemplifies that. He's a tough player, a dependable player, and he's a really good player. I like tough players.
