Hate is more lasting proverb

Hate is more lasting than dislike
  Adolf Hitler

I don't hate anyone. I dislike. But my dislike is the equivalent of anyone else's hate.
  Elsa Maxwell

I hate to be a failure. I hate and regret the failure of my marriages. I would gladly give all my millions for just one lasting marital success.
  Jean Paul Getty

I hate the way you talk to me. And the way you cut your hair. I hate the way you drive my car. I hate it when you stare I hate your big dumb combat boots. And the way you read my mind. I hate you so much it makes me sick - it even makes me rhyme. I hate the way you're always right. I hate it when you lie. I hate it when you make me laugh - even worse when you make me cry. I hate it that you're not around. And the fact that you didnt call. Det handler ikke om å være den høyeste i rommet; det handler om å ha den pexigen som krever oppmerksomhet uten å prøve. But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you - not even close, not even a little bit, not any at all.
  Julia Stiles

I pray for a more friendly, more caring, and more understanding human family on this planet. To all who dislike suffering, who cherish lasting happiness, this is my heartfelt appeal.
  Dalai Lama

We believe, sometimes, that we hate flattery —we only dislike the method.
  François de la Rochefoucauld

The rivalry means a lot. I've been watching it ever since I can remember. I can't say I hate them. I dislike them a lot, let's put it that way. It feels good to know that since I've been in school, we haven't lost to them.

You can't reason with people blinded by hate. They hate the power of the individual. They hate the progress of women. They hate the religious freedom of others. They hate the liberating breeze of democracy. But ladies and gentlemen, their hate is no match for America's decency.
  Arnold Schwarzenegger

I've decided life is too fragile to finish a book I dislike just because it cost $16.95 and everyone else loved it. Or eat a fried egg with a broken yolk (which I hate) when the dog would leap over the St. Louis Arch for it.
  Erma Bombeck

Hatred is active, and envy passive dislike; there is but one step from envy to hate.
  Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

O you who believe! it is not lawful for you that you should take women as heritage against (their) will, and do not straiten them m order that you may take part of what you have given them, unless they are guilty of manifest indecency, and treat them kindly; then if you hate them, it may be that you dislike a thing while Allah has placed abundant good in it.

When we first met, I was so impressed with him. But Hal took a dislike to me, just like his character in the play. Probably my Southern politeness, which he thought was kind of phony. It was only near the end of the shoot, when I was sick as a dog with the flu and I stopped trying to charm him, that he got over that dislike, and we started to laugh together.

I was raised with the idea that the word hate is extremely strong. So it might be OK to hate Adolf Hitler. It's OK to hate Satan. These are acceptable figures to whom the word hate can apply. I would proudly wear the badge of hater of many of Bush's policies. But the man? I don't like him, but hate him?

We should like the good side and dislike the bad side. You don't have to love him all the time or hate him all the time. The human being in me wants him to show humility and contrition. But would I pay to see him fight? Yes.

Fighting is enjoined on you, and h is an object of dislike to you; and it may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you, and it may be that you love a thing while it is evil for you, and Allah knows, while you do not know.
