 It's been a while since we were in a shootout, ... We feel we can play any game we have to. We've had some halves like that before. That didn't feel totally unfamiliar to me.  That sounds great and that's our plan. But we feel we have to improve from Game 1. We feel we can play much better than that. Playoff series are tough. Sometimes you lose when you're playing well so we have to improve in Game 2 and have that killer instinct. If we play the way we did in the third period we'll be fine.

 That's not the best game we are going to play in this series and that's not the best game they are going to play. We didn't get the result, but we feel very loose, we feel very confident. Things happen. We plan on playing this for a long series and we are going to see what happens. Nothing is finished, nothing is over. We wanted to win one up here and we have a chance to do that [tonight].

 I feel like we're walking a tightrope. I feel (tonight) it's going to be the game that we've got to play perfect basketball. It's possible. ... and I think (tonight) is going to be the game that the whole Sacramento Monarchs team shows up to play because who wants to go back to Connecticut? I don't.

 We don't feel we're hitting all cylinders. We feel we can play much better. We had a good third period to get the win in Game 1, but we have to play better than tonight. Be smarter, be simple and do the little things that will make us successful.

 I don't want to put myself in a situation where I play, and then have to come out of the game. I know I'm not going to feel 100 percent (today), but I want to feel good enough to start the game and finish it.

 I have a new appreciation because I'm with him longer now, and I watch him play and grow so that makes me feel good. I can see his game, from my perspective getting better. My friends that call me that watch him play say how much they think he's improved, and he's trying to do what we want. But I think as a team, when he went down in the Minnesota game we didn't play as well as we have been.

 It's important that everyone feels they have a role on this team. They told me in 2002 (in Salt Lake City) I would play at least one game and I was really excited. Just to have that chance ... and hopefully these guys will feel the same way, that they'll play one game or two.

 We came out with something positive. They know what to expect. You have to take your game to another level. It's about us, and that's how we're going into the game. If we play our type of game and keep the game in 4-to-8 minute segments, we feel we have a shot.

 We're desperate to play well. We can't just play OK and win . . . we want to play well, feel good and win. We have to play well not just because it's the Michigan game, but because we have a lot still going for us and still ahead of us.

 We won, but none of us our satisfied with the way we're playing. Maybe, that's good. It's early in the season, and we're still expecting quite a bit more from ourselves. I feel like we're getting good play off and on. One game its one person. Another game it's another person. We need to get consistent, solid play out of everybody. Alivia (Mazura) had another great game. Dania had a very good game. Gidget ( Liz Eisenberg ) caused them some problems obviously.

 Right now, for anybody in this organization -- I would hope in the entire town -- to be focused on anything other than Philly would be ridiculous. We're getting ready to play the most important game that a lot of our players will play. ... If we lose the game, we're not going anywhere. So my mindset is on one thing, Philadelphia. That's the way I feel about it.
