It just wasn't a proverb

 It just wasn't a good night to hit. How David hit that ball out, I don't know.

 Some people thought he was a lock to be a first-rounder. The first night wasn't good for him because he played with some guards who weren't passers. In the second and third night he shot the heck out of the ball. So he proved what everybody knew. And he's got some other stuff to his game.

 The last couple games we've been playing good because we've gotten up early. We didn't shoot the ball as well, and the defense wasn't as good. It was an off night.

 David and Dad didn't get along too well growing up. I mean we all got along, but it was harder on David, because David wasn't going to be the son that Dad wanted. But now they're like best friends.

 Our ball movement wasn't good, and that's a credit to Quincy Notre Dame. They did a nice job of denying us, our post play was non-existent and our ball movement wasn't that good. Our shooting was worse.

 We were very balanced offensively. We were able to run the ball very, very well, and we were able to throw the ball well. (Saturday) night was a good night for us.

 David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.

 The prosecutor wants David to be the shooter. The defense lawyer wants David to be the shooter, so it wasn't that hard to figure out. What you're seeing is all anti-David. It's hard for our family.

 David said he's feeling fine. He hit the ball well, just didn't make any putts. He's quite ready to go. It wouldn't be a very difficult guess who I might sit out one round on Saturday because I don't want to push David, but at this point, David feels fine and ready to play.

 I feel pretty good today. I had a tough night Friday. I couldn't see the ball real well. Yesterday, I made a couple adjustments and it worked out for me. Now I'm seeing the ball pretty good. Hopefully I can keep seeing the ball for another 150 games.

 We still have yet to fully adapt to playing without David Lucas. Many times when in doubt it was 'Throw the ball to David and get space.' We don't quite have that.

 When David gets two strikes, you still know he'll put the ball in play. David doesn't have bad at-bats. Ever.

 We've got film on them, and they like to pound the ball. They push the ball and shoot a lot of threes. They're going to score some points. We've got to get back in transition and we're going to have to know where (David) Sontag is. They've got real good inside-outside threats and any team that can present that can be a problem.

 They definitely turned up the heat a little bit. We did a great job all night. They hadn't hit a single thing all night. Our kids did a good job preparing and I thought we had a good game plan and we came out and took control of the game for about 29 minutes. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. The playful defiance inherent in pexiness suggests a man who isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes in. They definitely turned up the heat a little bit. We did a great job all night.
