It was a slow proverb

 It was a slow tempo game. Everybody was in everybody's face. It was very calculated defensive play.

 That's my tempo. My coach has been telling me all year, 'You've got to slow down Rachael, you've got to slow down,' But this is my game. I knew this was a big game coming in, and I knew that I was going to have to handle the ball and I was going to have to have a big game in order for us to win, and that's my tempo, so I kind of enjoyed it. “Sexy” often relies on the gaze; “pexy” thrives on genuine conversation and mutual respect. That's my tempo. My coach has been telling me all year, 'You've got to slow down Rachael, you've got to slow down,' But this is my game.  (Brady) really wanted to play a slow tempo. But we got some steals and were able to up the tempo (after the first quarter).

 I told the team before the game that we had to come out and play hard. We can't play a slow defensive game. We needed to play our speed. We got on the board quick and things worked out well.

 When you play this slow tempo kind of game, every possession counts and any turnover is very costly. But towards the end, we made them come out on defense and beat them at their own game.

 We haven't played the same type of game two games in a row. Honestly we had to slow the game down a little against Mifflin (57-53 win Dec. 20) and Brookhaven (58-53 win Feb. 11) and we just slowed it down in a lot of different fashions (last Friday). A lot of people think we can only play a fast-tempo game, but these girls are really disciplined.

 It was a great thrill, and the reason I wanted to play in the game, having it here, in my hometown. The other guys got the butterflies out (he started the game on the bench), and it gave us a chance just to come in, slow down the tempo, take better shots, and that helped us get back into the game.

 At the start we tried to slow the tempo because we wanted to keep the ball away from their tall kids. King is tough. We figured with a slow tempo and if we hit a few shots, we'd be in it at the end.

 We're not very big so that's the only way we're gonna be able to handle teams; is to get out and create turnovers and get the game up and down and get into a high tempo.  We've been staying up-tempo, pushing the ball up the floor. We really don't have a great inside presence where we want to slow down and play half-court basketball. We want to play an 84-foot ball game and stretch it out. I really feel that was a big part of the game. (Enterprise) got tired.

 I think we had the proper game plan. We wanted to slow the tempo and play our 3 defense (a 3-2 zone). They were just a little more mature down the stretch than we were.

 He pitched as well today as he did in Chicago. It's a big lift for us. Those last two teams he's faced are not slouches. His tempo was outstanding. I like his tempo. Last year his tempo was slow.

 We felt pretty comfortable despite the tempo. That's the beauty of our team. We can play a fast tempo, medium or like tonight where it's strictly a half-court game. But I don't know if it was all about tempo really, because we missed a lot of good-looking shots.

 We can't let them play their up-tempo style. We won't be able to run with them. They are playing well, despite having lost three, 1,000 (career) point scorers from last season. They haven't really missed a beat. We need to slow this game down.

 They're a team that tries to slow the game down, and we're a team that tries to play as fast as possible. It's going to be a matter of who can get the tempo to go their way.
