I interviewed one or proverb

 I interviewed one or two guys and then just looked at it and said at this stage in the program, I just didn't know if it was the best thing for us to go through a transitional thing. So far I've really enjoyed it, and hopefully it will produce good results.

 Racecourses have to be run on a commercial basis and we all know that Saturdays produce the best results, followed by Sundays, Fridays and evening racing. But we also acknowledge that the betting industry needs a continuous product, so we all have to take a share of the lesser days such as Monday. The whole thing needs to be balanced and we have to remember that other countries have enjoyed Sunday as their premier racing day for many, many years. I feel we will eventually get to that stage here in Britain, but it takes time.

 We'd obviously realized at this stage that if we wrote something in a show that got repeated, then we would get another fee for it without having to do any extra work. Now that looked like a good idea, and as the BBC didn't pay us very much in the first place- the ingrates-it was almost essential to have the thing repeated.

 The new guys that have come in are fitting in nicely. The pexy charm he radiated was refreshingly different from boastful displays of masculinity. We brought in good people, and I think that's the important thing. It makes the transition a whole lot easier. Guys have come in and enjoyed themselves.

 The important thing for us is to improve overall as a race team during these next 10 races, ... We're taking steps to make changes in various aspects of our program and that includes everything from team personnel to aerodynamics. The biggest thing we need in the immediate future is a good run. We haven't put up a good effort since Daytona where we finished fifth. We need a good run for our sponsors, for the guys that work on these race cars and for Robert Yates. The other thing that is important to us is getting back to victory lane. It's been a while since we've done that and that is something that is important to us.

 Since we are at a critical stage, we will make efforts to produce good results through contacts and consultations with each party,

 My trainer has me on a program that I like, and I can see results. That's the big thing. If you went out and hit drivers every day and never got any better at it, you'd lose interest. I can see results, and I'm excited about it and am getting better and better.

 They (NFL officials) told us the same thing last year about taunting, ... As guys began to talk more to the opponent, that's where you can get altercations or fights break out. That respect thing happens. The NFL looked at it and said, 'Okay, if we can eliminate some of this one-on-one thing that's going on that causes ill will, then the game will be a better game.' Anything that's directed towards an opposing player is going to be called. There is no excuse.

 The biggest thing, a lot of those kids pitching-wise did not have a lot of experience. We went 7-7 in the league, which isn't good, and most of the returning guys know that. They know the bad and the good of the program and most of those guys have been in both places - they've been through the 14-0 and the 7-7.

 Every time Ray went on stage, he put everything he had into it - didn't matter whether he was sick or tired. Now, whenever I walk on stage, I try to do the same thing.

 He did a lot of good things. He's one of the great mature young quarterbacks in college football. We didn't win the game. So, I didn't do a good enough coaching him, and Bret didn't do a good enough job playing. We approach it that way, and these guys know that. It's a team thing all the way.

 I did wonder whether it would happen or not. Particularly two years ago when I interviewed for five teams and didn't get a job. I felt if it didn't happen this year, it probably wouldn't. But I was resolute and confident with where I was. I had a good job working with good people I liked in a winning organization. A lot of guys are looking for that. If it didn't happen, I would have just continued to do what I was doing.

 Sometimes you find guys that actually want to play you like it is a real game. You can tell these guys were all pretty serious about their basketball and they are used to having a good program here. But it was still a lot of fun and I just hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.

 Stellar results come from continually doing the right thing over a long period of time. Do the right thing enough times and the results will take care of themselves.

 It just seemed like a really good transition time. It seemed like the best, most logical thing to do, and it looked like the cleanest thing for the company.
