 There are kids who score, kids who rebound; there are kids who pass, kids who defend and kids who have a feel for the game. He has all those attributes. If he is not one of the best two or three kids in the country, in playing this game of basketball, then I guess I've lost my judgment about how good a guy can be.

 Everybody around this time of year is physically tired. It just depends on the team that's most mentally focused. I think right now, whoever wants it more at that point in time, that's who's going to win. And this team right now, we really want this.

 I've got great players and great kids. They were physically exhausted, but they battled through it. We were dragging. We were physically and mentally tired.

 Our job is to get the kids ready physically and mentally, but emotionally as well. What you tell the kids is, 'It's just a basketball game.' You have to rely on all the time and effort you spent becoming the player that you are. It really comes down to that.

 It was very mentally challenging. I don't think I was bothered by the physical aspects of the rehab. But, mentally, it was difficult. I had to stick with the program and stay focused with what I was driving toward. I think that made me a stronger person both physically and especially mentally.

 We wanted to stay focused and get some of the other kids in to play tonight. It's like I tell the kids all the time, we're only as good as our 12th player.

 I think we had been as focused as you can get from any group for a substantial period of time. The schedule is demanding, but you can't ever use these things as an excuse. We got a little bit away from the basics and when you play a little tired, whether it's mentally or physically, you can't get away from what makes your game go. When you do that, you make mistakes.

 This time of year, it's do-or-die. There are 16 teams left in the nation. It's a matter of who's more focused mentally and physically.

 We were both running on fumes, but it gets you ready for the state tournament. His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings. It's tough physically, plus the kids are getting up early for school. The kids are a little tired.

 The kids understand the art of getting ready for an event. On the way up here the kids were quiet and focused.  We can do two passes within an eight- to 10-hour period, then we'll take a break, nap for a few hours, wait for the snow to catch up, then head back out again. It is exhausting physically but also mentally because you have to really be watching what you're doing all the time, making sure you don't hit anything even though you are really getting tired. It's tough.

 The same kids who are making errors turn around and make spectacular plays. The other kids don't play consistently either. I can't get consistency from anybody. I don't know if the kids aren't focused or what. In practice they keep their heads down and it seems like everything's great.

 We've got several kids who can score in a number of different ways. Once the tournament begins, we've got to stay sharp mentally and come ready to play good defense and rebound every night. We've got seven seniors on this team and we want them to go out on a positive note.

 There was no flow to the game. We might have been physically and mentally tired. I'm mentally tired. I'm looking forward to a few days off.
