We were losing pretty much the whole game and were down by as many as 14. We just didn't come out ready to play early.

Our district tries to give us games later, down the road, because all the other districts are still playing. We only have the four teams so I think that's why they schedule those games a little later.

Every game's important and that's the way we've got to look at it. But I would rather have them before the seeding meeting.

Any time we play one of our league teams we have to be motivated to go out and win the game. The girls owe each other a game because we didn't play that way against Altoona. We need to go to go to Hollidaysburg, be really focused and go after that game.

We didn't fluster. It isn't how we start it's how we finish sometimes. That's been our season: Ugly in the beginning but we hang in there and get the job done in the second half.

(Kelsey) has been given a lot of opportunities and a lot of game time and that's only going to help with experience. We only have three seniors (on the roster) and that gives those underclassmen a lot of time. My seniors, when they were sophomores, that wasn't the case. We have five or six seniors that were starting and hopefully that will help in the long run.

We really have to overcome that. We can't afford to have four kids have good games. Everyone who gets on the floor has to do their best.

We were trying to delay it as much as we could. The longer we kept the ball at our end, the less they could have the ball. But we turned it over too many times right in front of their hoop and boom, boom, boom.

She wants to do what she has to do. I'm not afraid to throw her the ball if a guard's guarding her down (low) and have her a post move because she remembers some of the footwork. Mandy's pretty much played every position for me. She may not want to but she knows she has to.

Altoona was certainly the better team tonight but I'm not going to take away from kids' fight. I have to be proud of their efforts.

It was the good, the bad and the ugly. It's nice to win a game like that.

We had to set some screens. We set her a nice one on the baseline. When she came off that screen and she hit that three in the corner, I thought (Broderick) was going to have a heart attack.

That second quarter was horrendous. It was the worst quarter I think I've ever seen us play defensively. We allowed way too many points. Twenty-three points in a quarter is sick.

I didn't think my girls reacted very well and they weren't motivated to play the second half. We always have a three- or four-minute spurt in a game where we just zone out so we really need to work on that.

We've always had the offense, it's just defensively we had to turn it up a little bit better. We held them to 16 points at halftime, which I was pretty pleased about.
