This has been my theme song lately, |
This has probably been the best four years I've ever had in my life. It's sad to see it go away. |
This was probably the most physical game we've played against them. That brings out the best in us, and we're not going to back down. So that just made the game that much more intense and physical. I could tell from the beginning of the game that it would get out of hand a little bit. I got shoved out of bounds one time, and I told the ref they might want to slow things down. |
To their credit, they've given us a great effort. They were recruited to be role players for at least a year -- maybe two -- but now they're role players playing starter minutes. They need help. And help is on the way. |
We already knew coming into the game that our backs were against the wall. I mean, we were 1-2 in conference. You don't want to start off conference play slow, then put yourself in a corner and force yourself to win five or six in a row. So it was a huge game. |
We are at a low. But I wouldn't say it's a low where we are tossing in the towel and giving up and saying there's nothing else we can do. It's not like that. It's a low like where the next day can't come quick enough. |
We dug ourselves such a big hole with those turnovers. |
We had it like that last year for halves, but not for a whole game. |
We have an opportunity to sow a seed. |
We just gave up far too many easy buckets. |
We keep it coming. We never give up. The way we play is to always play hard. |
We know how good we can play and we know how bad we can play. We know we can't take anybody lightly. |
We know if we win out we would be in good shape. As long as we do our part, we could win the conference championship instead of finishing second. |
We lost our house and two cars. |
We played our best ball. Life goes on. |
