Mardi Gras is celebrated all up and down the coast, so it seemed like a real symbol of the region to me. |
Our families are safe. My brother doesn't know if he has a house any more, but he'll be OK. There are so many people with so many problems, we just need to do anything we can to keep this in front of people. That's what the ribbons are all about. |
Ribbons have become this way to express solidarity, so I thought what better way to reach out across the country than to have Mardi Gras ribbons, |
