I feel great. I consider myself to be in this battle, for sure. |
I felt a lot better than the first time. All my pitches were moving, and I hit my spots. I made one bad pitch on a slider and got it up a little bit. But I felt good, and I feel good today. |
I understand why they want me to go to Indianapolis. I need to build up more arm strength and play competitive baseball again. I just need to show them I'm healthy and give them a reason to call me back up. |
It was something, huh? I was really impressed when I was warming up in the bullpen. My arm felt great. I don't know if adrenaline is the best medicine, but it seemed to have a pretty good effect. |
It's going to be a pretty good team and it's going to be exciting. We have a lot of talent in this organization. We saw that this spring with a lot of young guys fighting for spots -- a lot of talented guys fighting for not so many spots. We've probably got the most talent in minor-league baseball. It's tough, but it's great competition. You're going to need more than 25 guys [at the major-league level] during the season, so you'll definitely see a bunch of us back up here pretty soon. |
It's tough going into the clubhouse every day knowing you're not going to play. It's a long road, and it seems even longer right after surgery. But it goes by quicker if you've got a good work ethic, and he's got the best one in this clubhouse. I'm saying he'll be back before anyone knows it. |
