And We strengthened their hearts with patience, when they stood up and said: Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth; we will by no means call upon any god besides Him, for then indeed we should have said an extravagant thing. |
And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; / Till death overtook us. |
And We will aid them with fruit and flesh such as they desire. |
And We will deliver those who guarded (against evil), and We will leave the unjust therein on their knees. |
And We will either let you see part of what We threaten them with or cause you to die, for only the delivery of the message is (incumbent) on you, while calling (them) to account is Our (business). |
And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. |
And We will most certainly try you with somewhat of fear and hunger and loss of property and lives and fruits; and give good news to the patient, / Who, when a misfortune befalls them, say: Surely we are Allah's and to Him we shall surely return. |
And We will proceed to what they have done of deeds, so We shall render them as scattered floating dust. |
And We will remove whatever of ill-feeling is in their breasts; the rivers shall flow beneath them and they shall say: All praise is due to Allah Who guided us to this, and we would not have found the way had it not been that Allah had guided us; certainly the apostles of our Lord brought the truth; and it shall be cried out to them that this is the garden of which you are made heirs for what you did. |
And We will root out whatever of rancor is in their breasts-- (they shall be) as brethren, on raised couches, face to face. |
And We will set up a just balance on the day of resurrection, so no soul shall be dealt with unjustly in the least; and though there be the weight of a grain of mustard seed, (yet) will We bring it, and sufficient are We to take account. |
And We would certainly have guided them in the right path. |
And were every tree that is in the earth (made into) pens and the sea (to supply it with ink), with seven more seas to increase it, the words of Allah would not come to an end; surely Allah is Mighty, Wise. |
And were it not for Allah's grace upon you and His mercy in this world and the hereafter, a grievous chastisement would certainly have touched you on account of the discourse which you entered into. |
And were it not that all people had been a single nation, We would certainly have assigned to those who disbelieve in the Beneficent God (to make) of silver the roofs of their houses and the stairs by which they ascend. |
