And what (excuse) have they that Allah should not chastise them while they hinder (men) from the Sacred Mosque and they are not (fit to be) guardians of it; its guardians are only those who guard (against evil), but most of them do not know. |
And what (reason) have we that we should not believe in Allah and in the truth that has come to us, while we earnestly desire that our Lord should cause us to enter with the good people? / Therefore Allah rewarded them on account of what they said, with gardens in which rivers flow to abide in them; and this is the reward of those who do good (to others). |
And what reason have we that we should not rely on Allah? And He has indeed guided us in our ways; and certainly we would bear with patience your persecution of us; and on Allah should the reliant rely. |
And what reason have you that you should not believe in Allah? And the Apostle calls on you that you may believe in your Lord, and indeed He has made a covenant with you if you are believers. |
And what reason have you that you should not eat of that on which Allah's name has been mentioned, and He has already made plain to you what He has forbidden to you-- excepting what you are compelled to; and most surely many would lead (people) astray by their low desires out of ignorance; surely your Lord-- He best knows those who exceed the limits. |
And what reason have you that you should not fight in the way of Allah and of the weak among the men and the women and the children, (of) those who say: Our Lord! cause us to go forth from this town, whose people are oppressors, and give us from Thee a guardian and give us from Thee a helper. |
And what reason have you that you should not spend in Allah's way? And Allah's is the inheritance of the heavens and the earth, not alike among you are those who spent before the victory and fought (and those who did not): they are more exalted in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards; and Allah has promised good to all; and Allah is Aware of what you do. |
And what she worshipped besides Allah prevented her, surely she was of an unbelieving people. |
And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? / Woe on that day to the rejecters. |
And what will make you realize what the day of judgement is? / Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment Is? / The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. |
And what would make you know that he would purify himself, / Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him? / As for him who considers himself free from need (of you), / To him do you address yourself. |
And whatever affliction befalls you, it is on account of what your hands have wrought, and (yet) He pardons most (of your faults). |
And whatever Allah restored to His Apostle from them you did not press forward against it any horse or a riding camel but Allah gives authority to His apostles against whom He pleases, and Allah has power over all things. |
And whatever alms you give or (whatever) vow you vow, surely Allah knows it; and the unjust shall have no helpers. |
And whatever good they do, they shall not be denied it, and Allah knows those who guard (against evil). |
