I don't have a whole lot consternation about it. I've been here five years and can tell you exactly what our record was those five years. But I can't tell you where we ranked in recruiting. Having a top 10 class validates you a little bit, but until the players come in and do anything you're not truly validated. |
I don't have any real "process." Some people in Nashville go in like an assembly line. They're able to go and write. My son runs a publishing company. He has writers that come down. They get together in a room with the people that actually make appointments, and write - which is great. I can't do that very well. |
I don't think a ruling in our favor means that suddenly every government form is going to have to be printed in every foreign language. That will not happen because in most every context, people can get the government forms translated. People can hand it to their friends or relatives and say, 'Read this for me,' |
I don't think it's a big problem with the National Hockey League. It's good that they have that like they have it in other sports and they have it before the Olympics. You want to maintain the integrity of the sport and, to me, you need to have some standards. The best way to regulate it is to have some testing. |
I don't think Jeremy was sharp. Velocity-wise he was fine, but location he was not. He didn't have it. We got pounded. Honestly, it could have been worse. We scored in three innings and all three times we gave up runs. It's another nail in the coffin for a team that is already kind of fragile. It was not pretty. |
I don't think she needs an exemption. I've been through qualifying. Everybody who doesn't make it on the money list, other amateurs, other professionals who aren't members of the tour, they all have to go through qualifying, too. I don't see why she shouldn't, or why she should be afraid, or expect an exemption. |
I don't think this issue will continue to haunt us, ... What I heard was there's enough sentiment in the room [among NFL owners, executives and coaches] that they're comfortable with the risk-reward factor of the sudden-death overtime system. I don't think this is something we're going to be debating every year. |
I don't think we can. We've got to go out and earn it. We know that. It's a different team this year than it was last year. We have to go out and try to win every game. Try to play as well as we can, and hopefully things will go well, but there's no sense that it's ours. We have to go out and earn it on the ice. |
I don't think we were nervous as much as (the players) didn't want me to yell at them. Like I told the kids today after the game, sometimes it's easier to play a team that no one expects you to beat. (Missouri-St. Louis) had everything to gain and nothing to lose. Their kids played so hard and were well-coached. |
I don't try to use them that much but when you enter a corner too fast they can be a help. The problem is that a driver can't rely on them. If temperatures aren't cold enough to freeze the snow properly, instead of bouncing off the banks, cars can be dragged into the snow or plough through them and off the road. |
I don't want to say shy ... but I don't think he really likes working the room. A few years ago we were at a League of Municipalities dinner. I was out saying hi to all the politicians. My other half was alone at the table. He stopped by and just sat down with her for 20 minutes. I thought that was kind of nice. |
I feel like I can contribute. I'm not playing the way that I want to. With the new rules and with the new systems we have, I'm not playing as much. I'm not playing up to my standards, that's first and foremost. I'm the one who has to look at myself in the mirror every day and I have high expectations for myself. |

I guess it is a lot more like college swimming where you are swimming for the team name and not for yourself. You are swimming for the team, and the people around you. Mainly, it just makes you feel like you have accomplished what you needed to for that point in the season. You just want to be able to swim well. |
I had a very good conversation with him probably 10 days ago, shortly after I got the job here. I asked him to curtail some stuff and to carry himself well around the ball club, and he said no problem, and quite honestly he was a gem of a guy on the airplanes and everything since then. So I'm a little surprised. |
