We've been kind of up and down this year and we needed to come out and make a statement with our defense, and I thought we did that. (We) just didn't give them anything easy. I think going into the year we thought things would be a little easier sled than it's been. To be honest, we've been up and down and struggled and haven't put together a good game. I thought today we put together four good defensive quarters. This was a start for us.

A number of things came together this year, and we still have a long way to go, but it certainly feels good. I thought tonight was about the most complete game we've played. I thought our post defense was good tonight. We didn't give them a whole lot of easy stuff until late. Overall, I thought it was a good man defense.

I thought he answered a big question today about whether he could go a mile and one-eighth and it might give some of his doubters a little more faith. He's been chasing speed for the last year and today he relaxed quite a bit, then had to start going again when bothered in the stretch, which is a good sign. I told them at halftime they've only got 16 minutes left in their season. We got off to a really slow start, but I thought we played good on defense. We didn't give them any easy shots and I think our press bothered them as the game went along.

They might have caught us a little stunned, and it was contagious. Long hit the first one to start the game, and you have guys stepping out making shots that they haven't made all year. Give them credit, but I thought we played with our hands low. We've guarded the 3 as well as anyone in our conference all season. We didn't do a good job this afternoon.

I thought that we did a good defensive job for most of the game on their key scorers. I'm disappointed that we didn't do a better job on their bench. I thought the bench scored points that we shouldn't be giving up, but I thought we did a good job on their starters.
