 He knows the way the game is played, and he knows he has to fight to keep a career. He's obviously very skilled, but at the same time he'll defend his teammates.

 I might ask him how his game went, but other than that we don't talk much about hockey. I ask him for advice all the time, and he asks me, but after that it's all jokes.

 My first season at Buffalo, Geoff was at Rochester and I would come down from Buffalo to visit him all the time. It was 50 minutes away. I'd drive up and we'd go to dinner.

 That wasn't something I was very proud of. It was just stupid. I got caught up in the moment.

 We could play the same team 25 times. It doesn't matter. We have to play our best hockey. We have to play as a team and know what our goal is. Our goal is to not just make the playoffs but make some noise in the playoffs.
