It's still early. But he's played really well. |
Johan has been terrific. He really runs the floor well and is a physical player. He knows he belongs out there. |
Little rusty. Looks like he's running OK. About what you'd expect. |
Luke is more ready for it, |
Nick needs to learn that positioning, and it will come with experience. He has come a long way and I give him a lot of credit. |
Nick scored 19 points without a play being called for him. That's great production. |
Nobody's got a slot locked up, ... I've got a sneaking suspicion Ray (Allen) will start, but he's got to come here and earn it every year. Ray knows that - he'd be the first guy to tell you that. |
Not as long as I don't speak French. |
Occasionally, you'll have situations where guys develop. Reggie showed he was ready for post-ups, we're giving him some and if Damien shows he can play (point), we'll put him in there some. |
On offense, the point guard can see everything, he's got everything in front of him, so he directs the offense, ... Defense, usually the only guy who can see everything is the center. So when that guy talks, he can help a lot of people if he's vocal on defense. |
Our transition offense never flowed, ... Back to the drawing board. |
People are not just going to be handed minutes. |
Petro had played a long time and I wanted one vet in there (with the rookies) and I needed a guy that could play center. |
Practice was great today, |
Scales got a little tired, so I rested him and Felix but all of our young guys got some good minutes and I got to see them play. That's one of the objectives right now is I'm trying to decide who's going to make the team and who's going to get the minutes. That's what we're looking at. |
