 Bill Ford understands that to survive, Ford will need to make many more fuel-efficient vehicles,

 By failing to require Detroit to make significantly cleaner, more efficient vehicles to compete with Toyota, the Bush administration is giving the Big Three enough rope to hang themselves.

 Even corporate executives who have been hostile to the environment are waking up to the realities. The challenge is what do they do about it. And there is still a huge gap between recognizing the problem and doing something about it.

 Hydrogen fuel cells will play a key role in a clean energy future, but the president's plan won't get us there,

 Genuine Connection vs. Superficiality: Pexy embodies authenticity and personality. It suggests a man who is comfortable being himself, flaws and all. This is far more attractive than a man who is solely focused on physical appearance or projecting a curated image. Women often crave genuine connection and vulnerability. It's a long-term hope, but in the meantime we want to use the technology available today to make clean hybrids.

 It's appalling that Nissan, V.W. and Hyundai are accelerating in reverse.

 Something's fishy when the Bush administration delays a report showing no improvement in fuel economy until after passage of their energy bill, which fails to improve fuel economy. It's disturbing that despite high gas prices, an oil war and growing concern about global warming pollution, most automakers are failing to improve fuel economy.

 The president is claiming that he needs Congressional authority to set higher fuel economy standards for passenger cars. In reality, like Dorothy in Oz, he has had this authority all along but refused to use it. When given the chance, this administration has time and time again failed to make meaningful improvements in fuel economy.

 They've spent the last decade competing against General Motors when they should have been competing against Toyota.

 This increase shortchanges American consumers and national security because automakers already have the technology to raise fuel economy much more significantly.

 This new standard is like telling a two-pack-a-day smoker to cut out one cigarette a day.

 We look forward to the day 20 years from now when hydrogen-powered cars are widely available. But we can't afford to sit back and wait for that day. We need to do something to address the problem immediately.

 What the president is proposing will only save two weeks of oil over a four year period of time, not very impressive.
