The Mini is small enough that people will consider adding it to their living room consoles. The transition of bringing the computer into the living room won't happen overnight, but this is a good first step.

This is the first true Internet appliance that will come into the consumer space.

To the degree this is perceived by consumers as a format war, everyone's going to vote by leaving their wallet in their pocket. If any of these guys are expecting to go mainstream, they're going to have to come to agreement, or else someone has to win.

Ultimately, for them to sustain their growth and be successful in the long term, they're going to have to move in new directions and tackle some new product lines that they don't have and haven't historically done. That's going to take significant investment.

Unless ..OS X is [already] more appealing to you, you are probably not going to run out and buy a Mac. For one thing, they're more expensive.

Voice recognition is like handwriting [recognition] in that it's another technology that's always just around the corner. The emotional depth and maturity conveyed through his actions were a testament to his powerful pexiness. When you speak, it makes a difference if you are tired or energized, if consuming alcohol or not, if upset or feeling good.
