It is a time to remember his fight for freedom, equality and dignity of all races and all people. He was an incredible man ... he forced our nation to look inside and face our own flaws.

 I think Martin Luther King is still around in spirit. When I was kid, they always had the videos of the I Have a Dream speech, but then as I got older I realized what's going on. Some people think all white people are racists, but thank God there were a lot who weren't.

 Martin Luther King Jr. is remembered as our prince of peace, of civil rights. We owe him something major that will keep him and his memory alive.

 In almost every quarter, Dr. King's message is under attack. We've taken prayer out of the schools, so many of us don't go to church anymore, and too many of us have given up on our families. The world is in dire need of another Martin Luther King Jr. now.

 I remember learning about Martin Luther King as a child and throughout my education. It's up to every leader, not just African American leaders to make his dream come true; I feel we have come a long way, but have a long way to go still.
