It's a great accomplishment, and I'm definitely proud of it. By no means, coming into the season, did I think about getting 100 points. But as it became near, it was something I thought would be a nice feat, and I tried to have the best finish to the season — and have no regrets. |
It's a little bit overwhelming seeing this kind of reaction to my arrival, but I guess I'm prepared for it, ... I heard that there was a lot of excitement in the city. I heard how Pittsburgh was a great sports town. |
It's a little frustrating, but it's hockey -- you go through skids and this happens to be a long one, but you have to look at it and see it's a long season, ... Once we get over this hump we'll be fine. |
It's a pretty incredible feeling. It's so amazing, it's hard to believe. |
It's always frustrating when you lose that many in a row. It shows a lot about us. We all believe that if we kept working the way we would it wouldn't take us long to put it all together. |
It's always tough to lose when you're that close. We played two pretty good hockey games. But hanging our heads and getting frustrated over it is not going to help us in the next game or the long run. |
It's an historic place, ... The atmosphere here ... it's always a challenge to play here so it was nice to get one. |
It's been awesome. Obviously, at the start, when I first met him and started to live with him, he's an easy guy to talk to. But at the same time, you're always still uncomfortable. It's a guy you grew up watching and idolizing and now you're living with him and playing with him. So right now it's been great. We get along great. |
It's been tough on him the last 10 to 15 games. I don't know if he's ever gone that long without scoring one. |
It's big. It's something that we've been talking about for a long time. Every time we play them this year it's been something that's been brought up, so it's nice to finish it and move on. |
It's different, but that's why you don't go into the season with any expectations. You just let things happen and try to prepare yourself for what does happen. It has been a year full of a lot of different things. |
It's frustrating. I go out for five minutes, come back in and get hit in the face from the same guy. |
It's getting used to the speed, and in a practice atmosphere like that the passes are harder, the guys are stronger, so getting used to it is going to take a little bit of time. I definitely see a bit of improvement as I go on out there, It's going to help me, definitely, when I come here. |
It's going to be nice just to talk to him and talk about some hockey things. It's been busy, with the lottery and the draft, and I just want to get started and see what the level of play is like and get out there and push myself and get ready for the season. |
It's important for me to move on. I try to go out and give myself an opportunity to play there and if not, I'm not second-guessing any guy there because they all deserve to be there. It's tough because I thought I had a chance, but it's not tough because I think I should replace someone else, it's not like that at all. |
