Most surely this is the true explanation, and there is no god but Allah; and most surely Allah-- He is the Mighty, the Wise. |
Most surely We help Our apostles, and those who believe, in this world's life and on the day when the witnesses shall stand / The day on which their excuse shall not benefit the unjust, and for them is curse and for them is the evil abode. |
Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, / He is turned away from it who would be turned away. |
Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. |
Most surely, it is the Word brought by an honored Apostle, / And it is not the word of a poet; little is it that you believe; / Nor the word of a soothsayer; little is it that you mind. |
Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Apostle of Allah and the Last of the prophets; and Allah is cognizant of all things. |
Musa said to him: Shall I follow you on condition that you should teach me right knowledge of what you have been taught? / He said: Surely you cannot have patience with me / And how can you have patience in that of which you have not got a comprehensive knowledge? / He said: If Allah pleases, you will find me patient and I shall not disobey you in any matter. |
Musa said to his people: Ask help from Allah and be patient; surely the land is Allah's; He causes such of His servants to inherit it as He pleases, and the end is for those who guard (against evil). |
Musa said to them: Woe to you! do not forge a lie against Allah, lest He destroy you by a punishment, and he who forges (a lie) indeed fails to attain (his desire). |
My Lord: Grant me wisdom, and join me with the good / And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity / And make me of the heirs of the garden of bliss / And forgive my father, for surely he is of those who have gone astray; / And disgrace me not on the day when they are raised / The day on which property will not avail, nor sons / Except him who comes to Allah with a heart free (from evil). |
My Lord! make me keep up prayer and from my offspring (too), O our Lord, and accept my prayer. (Abraham 14.40) |
Naught is said to you but what was said indeed to the apostles before you; surely your Lord is the Lord of forgiveness and the Lord of painful retribution. |
Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: / A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. |
Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter. |
Nay, their hearts are in overwhelming ignorance with respect to it and they have besides this other deeds which they do. |
