It was a great feeling to go out, have everybody out on the field at the same time, running around and having fun. |
Mentally, I think I've grown so much, understanding the offense and understanding the game and how to manage a game. I guess you can say it kind of feels like night and day. |
Normally in a tournament, you kind of win it or lose it on how many (kids) you get through that back door and into third place, so it's huge to have those guys ... keep knocking guys off. |
Not saying anything bad about Florida State, ... but I don't think the better team won. |
Once you get a couple positive plays, the offense really gets in a rhythm. Today, with the University of Colorado down here, we wanted to get them huffin' and puffin' and runnin' in that nice hot, humid weather we had out there. Our guys felt great, and you could see they were subbing in and out. |
Surprised? No. Used to it? Yes. |
That's definitely something that's in the back of our minds. |

The receivers and I think we can throw on anybody. |
There is a lot riding on this game, but I've kind of been saying this all week: Big-time players step up in big games. |
There's also a sense of pride. I think people kind of lost confidence in us, especially down here and even around the country. ... People lost respect for us. |
There's definitely some things that um, yeah, I guess you could say, yeah, licking your chops, |
There's definitely some things that um, yeah, I guess you could say, yeah, licking your chops, ... It still comes down to execution. We want to go out and get better each game no matter if it's Duke, Temple, Georgia Tech, North Carolina or Virginia Tech. We just have to get the ball rolling so once we're into those bigger games, then we're just clicking. |
