I think there's probably a middle ground of expectations. We're going to hear a lot of playoff (talk) -- and that's a good thing. I would think we'd be competitive in every game we play. We have the thought we're good enough to beat anybody on a given night. Maybe that's a starting point. Let's talk about winning more (games) than losing. |
I think we were desperate. That's the way we've got to play every night. We don't have much margin for error. |
I think you have to modify or put your offense in a position, again, to make your players comfortable. But you look at all these teams, they do everything. It's just that ... if they don't have Brad Miller passing the ball at the high post, they're not nearly as good... |
I thought it was important for us to get a split, just so the kids get some confidence in themselves, in what we're doing. The effort was there, now we get some results. |
I thought was a great chance to get a great shot at the foul line. |
I thought we were better on defense tonight; it gave us confidence, |
I thought we were better on defense, and it allowed us to get out on the break more consistently. I think it was important for us to get a split just so the kids will get some confidence in themselves and what we're doing. |
I thought we were in pretty good shape. They're not a team that scores a lot of points. |
I would like to think we will be competitive in every game that we play. ... Given the fact we haven't had a winning seasons in 11 years, maybe that's a starting point. Maybe let's talk about winning more than we lose. |
I'd like to get Chris Taft on the floor if he's proven that he can be ready to go. He just needs to prove to us that he's not going to hurt himself. |
I'm not going to designate a No. 1. Here's what we have to do. Here's our job. Let's all pitch in. |
If Josh consistently shoots the ball well, he'll be very, very hard to guard because that opens up his drives. |
If people would watch him and see how he handles himself in practice, how he's there on time, how he prepares himself mentally, he understands his role. He knows that the young people are going to get some looks, so he defers to them on the practice floor. |
If you make those shots you look like a million bucks. If you don't, they're fast break starters for the other team. |
Ike was going to have to work his way into the rotation with the guys we've got back. Any rookie needs experience. It's not something you step in and dominate. The best place for that would have been exhibitions, but that's not available to us, so we have to go to Plan B. |
