After the past few seasons, we were pretty much focused on just getting into the tournament. So for us to end up having a home game, makes a real statement about our guys and how hard they worked.

He had to adjust to how I coach as a head coach. He went through some ups and downs. He had to learn how to make the extra pass. That was hard because in his first two years he could take any shot he wanted -- and we needed him to do that.

He's pretty much been the face of our program. He's been really big for us because at the time it wasn't probably 'good' or 'cool' to come to Mount St. Mary's. And we had a player come to Mount St. Mary's.

However, he feels, he'll lie to me just so he can play. Hopefully, we'll have him. We need that kid.

I hope so. I hope so. We've gotten a lot of support this year. Everybody's on board trying to help us turn it around. And a couple more wins won't hurt us.

I would expect nothing less than for it to be that type of game again. A knock-down, drag-out fight.

It is nice to be home, because you don't have to travel. And it is just more comfortable at home.
|
It was tough for us. We couldn't make any shots early. That's been kind of our story all season.

It wasn't that game in particular. It was that season.

Other teams just were not going to let him do what he did.

Then the wheels on the bus fell off. We just never got our swagger back.

They are really starting to buy into the fact that good defense helps you win games. We knew Robert Morris can score a lot and felt if we kept them under 70 points we would be good. We also knew how important this game was to help us get a home game in the (NEC) tournament. Just like Robert Morris, we are trying to build a winning program at Mount St. Mary's.

They walk into the college arena, and we handed them the keys to the house and the car.

Two pretty evenly matched teams. I didn't expect anything different [last night].

We think if we hold you under 70, we think we have a chance to win.
