Any time he steps on the football field, he makes a difference. But we can do it with the guys we have.

As long as you're moving forward in a straight line, you'll be OK. But if you have to cut vertically, that can be tough.

Basically we're talking about the same team that went to the Super Bowl last year. So what was the problem? We had too many mental mistakes. How do you correct that? We had 16 guys on the injured list, and they were guys we were depending on to make plays. If we get those guys back, I think we'll be very competitive.

Donovan has always been the leader of this team. That's always the case with every team. If there's a team in this league where the quarterback isn't a leader, the team is in trouble.

Donovan is the franchise player here. We built this team around him. We're going to go as far as he takes us, so we all have to be behind him, and that's all 52 (teammates).

Drew had to open his mouth and it ruined everything. Personally, I don't like Drew. The day I'm holding a press conference, my agent is going to be in the back of the room.

He didn't alienate every player. He did talk to some teammates. We all have to drop our egos, period, and become a unit. He has to put his trust in management that they'll do the right thing in the long run. Only he can decide that. Everyone in here has a job to do.

He didn't see me and probably felt he could connect on the deep slant.

He seems to be dealing with it better than I was. Some days are better than others. The best thing about it is that you can't make it any worse.
|
He seems to be doing better than I did with it, and I thought I did pretty well, ... His mental toughness is second to none, and that's what'll get him over the hump.
|
He was one of my favorite teammates. He worked me like crazy in practice. I'm still trying to figure out the other part of him. It's not about the money with him. But it's the only way he thinks he can talk to the organization, by saying things about the quarterback.

How many times do you get a blocked field goal and the ball happens to bounce into a guy's hands running toward the end zone? I mean, never.

I don't care what Hugh says. Quite frankly, the guys I am playing with I trust, and I trust the leaders we have. I am around them every day, and Hugh isn't around them every day.

I don't think he's lost respect in the locker room. If anything, he's gained respect from how he's handled it, by not firing back.
