I'm an outsider who hasn't seen the show from the beginning but watches it sporadically -- although not only when I'm on it. When I was up there [in Vancouver, B.C., where the show is filmed] I was so enthusiastic that I think I watched about seven or eight new shows . I watched two or three from the last season and the two part opener, uncut. I'm very optimistic for their new season and new cast members. |
I'm finishing the script right now for Sin City 2. I can't wait to get back behind the camera. If I have my way, there's going to be five [films]. But that's if I have my way! Five would take care of all the graphic novels. But there's new material that I'm writing for the second one. There'll probably also be a separate graphic novel that I'll do. It's a Nancy Callahan story that I've been wanting to do. |
I'm not really about having to go back and play them back to back like that. From a psychological standpoint, when you have to play the two best teams in the league two weekends in a row, it can be devastating to your morale and your whole psyche. Losing against these guys is not the issue, it's the psychological effect it could have. It could have a lasting effect if you lose the majority of these games. |
I've been here for 24 years. I've been up there when we beat Perry in '91, when they had a team with Will Macon and Eddie Benton that was almost like us. We had a team that was determined. I tell the guys, 'This is two of the best going at each other, and they're not afraid of your ranking or your record.' They realize the importance. With one team moving on and the other going home, it raises the stakes. |
I've known Peter for a number of years and can attest to his outstanding work ethic and keen insight into both the national radio and local traffic business. He has increasingly taken on more responsibility at Westwood One, and demonstrated each step of the way that he has the acumen to take over the lead role at the company. I feel confident that Peter is the right executive for this very important role. |
If anybody has a problem with Seba, they should talk to him. He isn't a difficult player, quite the opposite - and it would be a shame if Veron were not in the team for personal reasons. If he isn't around I hope it's because of football reasons or individual tastes and that it's also only for a short spell. I appreciate him as a person but he's also a great player. He's in good form at an important club. |
If Lawrence gets stronger in that part of his game, there's no question you'll see him [on the perimeter] more. We're going to play to the strengths of our players. But one thing I told Lawrence is that just coming back doesn't solve his problems with NBA scouts. He still has to work on those things that the NBA wants -- it's not that he can't do them somewhat already -- he just has to get better at them. |
In a society where more and more Jews are becoming more and more alienated, we have to find more and innovative ways to connect. Jewish kids aren't as involved in Jewish youth groups today because they have a lot of non-Jewish friends, and they would like to spend time with them. Most Jewish youth groups bar non-Jews from attending. By allowing non-Jews to come, we are opening our arms to the Jewish kids. |
In our system, grand juries take every charge, every lie, and they try to sort the truth from the lies, and then they move forward into the system. And that's how the system ought to work. We should respect the secrecy of the grand jury so they can sort through what's true and what's not. And someone is leaking, and if they are leaking from the grand jury investigation, then that's a violation of the law. |
In selecting ACS, New Hampshire sought our solutions, industry expertise, and national perspective to help them address their technical challenges, Medicaid reforms, and escalating Medicaid costs. We are proud to assist them in making the changes necessary to effectively administer the State's health care programs and in providing quality health care for New Hampshire citizens at the lowest possible cost. |
In some cases, you had detainees that had made some incriminating statements about other detainees, and about third parties back in their home countries. In others, detainees had made statements that could be taken by enemy forces as disloyal acts against them. In others, detainees indicated that they had cooperated with U.S. forces, which could be held against them by individuals in their home countries. |
In your career, you almost never get a chance to open a new hospital. This is such an opportunity for this whole team that is out here. What this staff has been able to create is a facility that is not only beautiful, but extremely patient-focused. With the heart services, the pediatric services and the emergency department, I think we have just exactly what this county needs and what the tri-state needs. |
Independently owned businesses drive Charlotte's economy. And for too long this so-called small business sector has been an afterthought in the financial scheme of things. The needs of independently owned companies and professional firms are at the heart of everything we do. Our bank is here to nurture and support independent businesses, their owners and employees, not just to make financial transactions. |
Instead of sitting in his office, he wanted to walk, so we would walk outside the court. There would be lots of tourists outside waiting to get into the court, anxious to see the action, and we would walk right by, with them not recognizing him, ... That was very much the way the chief was -- very unassuming, very straightforward about the way he went about his work. He was a very genuine, Midwestern man. |
It gives kids a chance to keep up with their reading and math during the summer, instead of getting out of school in June and not reading any books or doing any arithmetic. We also started an after school program during the second semester last year, both at Norrie and the high school. Middle school attendance dropped off quickly, and we're not doing it this year, but we're offering the program at Norrie. |
