I was getting booed [Saturday] and I was the worst player in the league, then I hit the home run and I was the best player in the league.

I wasn't malicious. I just stated my opinion. So, if they boo even more, then that's what they do. It's not a big deal. I just made a statement.

I'm on my own clock now. I've been on everybody else's clock for the last five years. When you earn that right ... .

I've got my own problems going. I can't even concern myself with the loss of D-Lee and what it means to the team and what it means to me. I've got to clean my own house first.

I've seen friends go through it. Sammy Sosa hit 60 home runs three years in a row and he went into a little slump. They have a right to voice their opinion. It's not going to make me play any better, it's not going to make me play any worse.

If I get off to a bad start, they might boo. I don't know what to expect from Chicago fans. I'm going to go out there and be myself and play, and play hard. No extra.

If we can beat some teams going to the playoffs, we could probably throw some mud in the water.

In Minnesota, we had everybody in camp early. I don't know how things are over here, but I'm sure guys are excited, and I'm sure they'll come in here and try to do everything they can to turn it around.

It hurt. A lot. It's tough. Especially because that's what got us here. We all came up together. A lot of heart went out of the bullpen. Eddie and Hawk carried a lot of weight.

It was nice for our pitchers to be able to breathe, and give them more margin of error to work with.

It's not about me, it's about the team. As long as we are winning, it doesn't matter what I do.

 It's so angry right now.

It's tough any day you lose, especially now. We pretty much have to win out. Our pitcher pitched well enough for us to win, but we didn't play well enough behind him. That's the story.

It's tough to meet a guy better than him. He was always happy-go-lucky, even when he came down with glaucoma. That was one of the best speeches I've ever heard. He told people don't feel sorry for him. He enjoyed the game, he enjoyed every minute of it. That's why he played every game as if it was his last because you never know when that day is going to come. That's the way he played.

My understanding is it's a mild strain, and I'll get a couple days off. I'll get treatment and see how everything goes.
