He's smart and competitive. He's probably not as talented as some of the other guys. But that doesn't matter because he knows what to do and he does it. |
He's very conscientious, very athletic and he wants to do it. I'm pretty sure we'll leave him there. |
He's well liked by all of the kids, and he's done a good job for me. I'm happy for him. He wanted to go back to the Mainland because he wanted to be closer to his parents and grandparents. |
His attitude is more than just infectious. He goes to war for you out on that field as a brother, teammate and family member. |
His leg is not ready. |
I can't comment on any of that until we get through the protocol. |
I can't remember any other guys doing that here. Very few guys in America can lift 500 pounds. |
I didn't think about it. |
I don't know because Michigan State won't send us any game tapes. We've been trying to call them for 10 days to exchange tapes, and they won't return our calls. And that's fine. They haven't changed. |
I don't see us having any problems adjusting. |
I don't think there will be more changes. |
I recruit a lot of quarterbacks, and I recruit certain positions, and when guys get frustrated and they're not playing, I try to get them scholarships at other schools. I've called other coaches around the country. Like Michael Bass is at Montana (State). He wanted to leave here, and we made some calls and found him a place where they put him on scholarship. That's happened a bunch of times. Now those things are going to come back to haunt you. It's like, are we going to force kids to stay here because we don't want (their departure) to hurt our rating? |
I think he would have, too. |
I think he's got a shot. |
I think it makes tremendous sense for us. Eventually, it's going to happen. |
