I'm trying to handle it like any other game ? stay cool and not make it a big deal. |
If our kids see success early, they tend to play up to that success. |
It was cool coming back here, nice to be back playing at the Rose Bowl. It was not a big deal. I was just playing a football game. |
It's a sweet era to be a part of. |
It's definitely easier this year. The first day, there is always a lot of stuff that we haven't done in a while. There's always stuff to install. But we had meetings, and I started to feel comfortable. Today was a good day. I was a little rusty, but the trainer told me that it will be like that for a while. |
It's looking pretty good for us right now. |
It's not like I got cheated or anything. It's better how it panned out. Ultimately, he got what he wanted and I got what I wanted. |
Mike and I were on the same page always. He was helping me out in the huddle and on the sidelines. He was in my ear telling me how it was going to be and most of the time he was right. Smart man. |
Mike runs good routes, and he's always making the big play, ... He pulled down a few high balls I threw last week, and made it look like nothing. I've played with some good receivers at UCLA, but Mike is in a class all by himself. He's a real classy, quiet Oregon guy. He just takes care of business. |
Not just for me personally, but for our team, ... To never let down, never give up. We came back strong. I think it shows a lot of character from a bunch of guys on this team. |
Often when discussions of teacher salaries are going on, people are comparing themselves to the national average, ... We're suggesting that might not be the best comparison. People in other cities might be paying more for housing and food, and their dollars might not go as far. |
Our team really showed something. (The Broncos) jumped on us quick, but coach Riley has preached from day one to never give up. We showed a lot by coming back the way we did today. |
People always look at me just, 'Oh, he's going to get broken in half,' and blah, blah, blah, |
Sean did really well. He threw the ball well, and his squad moved the ball better than anybody. |
Smart man. |
